**What is Azure AI Foundry?** Azure AI Foundry is a Microsoft platform designed to help organizations build, customize, and deploy generative AI applications efficiently. It offers tools for the full AI development lifecycle, including model selection, fine-tuning, deployment, and monitoring — while supporting integration with Azure OpenAI, LangChain, and Responsible AI practices. It simplifies the path from prototyping to production at enterprise scale.

Azure AI Foundry page will open.

Scroll the page and click on **Sign in to get started**

**Note:** Ensure you are signed in with the same account used in the previous lab.

Here you can explore the Azure AI Foundry page

Scroll the page to **Latest models**, here you can view the models supported by Azure AI

Type and search "**Azure**" to view the Azure AI models which are available

Type and search "**OpenAI**" to view the OpenAI models which are available

To create a project click on the **Create new** button on the top right side

**Create project** wizard will open, select AI hub resource and click on the **Next** button

**What is Azure AI hub resource?** Azure AI Hub resource is a centralized workspace in Azure designed to manage and orchestrate all components of generative AI application development. It provides a unified environment to access models, datasets, tools, and pipelines. The AI Hub simplifies collaboration, tracking, and governance for AI projects across teams within an organization.

**Project name** will be pre-populated

Click on **Advanced options** dropdown

Scroll to the **Resource group** dropdown and select the **azure-ai-rg** resource group which we have created earlier

Click on the **Region** dropdown and select **East US** **Note:** Make sure you select the same region where your resource group is assigned.

Then, click on the **Create** button

Please note that the project may require some time to complete, around 5-6 minutes
