Exporting Phenotype Data in FieldBook

This guide provides a step-by-step process for exporting phenotype data locally in FieldBook, making it quick and easy for users to learn how to navigate the app and export their data efficiently.

Tap **Export.**

Tap **Local**. This allows you to export the file created by Fieldbook to a folder you select on the mobile device or tablet. If you have Google Drive connected on your device, this will also show as an option.

Choose the format you wish to export the data in. "Database" format is the long data format and "Table" is the wide data format. Choose which Field columns and Traits you would like to export data for. If you have collected image, video, or audio data please select "Bundle media data with export file." This will export your table and all of the associated media. Tap **Save**.

You will see a pop-up indicating your data is being exported. This may only be a brief pop-up depending on how much data you are exporting.

Select the folder you would like to export the data to. Here we chose the Google Drive folder already synced with our tablet.

On the next screen, verify the export location (change if needed) and tap **Save.**

You will see a pop-up indicating your data file is being uploaded. This may only be a brief pop-up depending on how much data you are uploading..

If you have a very large file (contains many images, for example) the export and upload process may take a few minutes. You can check the target folder on your mobile device or tablet and you should see the upload in process.
