Field Uploader Tool (Bulk Add Fields to FC)

This guide shows how to use the Field Uploader Tool in FarmCommand to quickly and accurately add fields in bulk. It helps streamline field management, keeps data organized, and allows you to edit details later. Following it will save time and simplify your field setup.

Farmcommand

Navigate to [FarmCommand](https://www.farmcommand.com/) Click on the fields tab, as seen on the left side of the screen. Then, use the Assets & Seasons selectors to make sure you are on the correct grower and year.

Select the FIELD tab

Check the box (even if there are no fields)

Click here to the right (three dots)

Click "Download Field Uploader"

An excel file will be downloaded to your PC. Click to open that file.

Click "Enable Editing"

Click here, the tab to the right of "Crops"

To add fields, the only row that must be filled out in the "Field Name" row. Previous Crop & Current Crop may be filled out but are not necessary to do **at this time**. They may be edited later in the system, along with LLD, Yield Target, and other attributes.

Three new fields have been added, as shown below. LLD and crop is not required at this stage.

Save the file

Click here to the right (three dots)

Click "Upload Fields"

Click here

Navigate to the folder where the excel file was saved.

Click on the file

Click "Open"

Click "UPLOAD"

Refresh the page

As you can see, the new fields have been added to the Fields tab.

The next step is to add borders & create subfields SUBFIELDS ARE REQUIRED FOR ZONING & SAMPLING!
