This guide explains how to use the filter function on The PE Hub LMS to search for specific information about pupils, classes/groups, and other entities.

You can filter entities on The PE Hub, LMS, including Pupils, Classes/Groups, Curriculum Maps and Assessments. This article focuses on filtering **Pupils** to see how the the function works.

You can identify elements that filters can be applied to if the filter icon is present.

In this example, we want to know which boys in the KS1 Multi-Skills have Free School Meals (FSM). So we need to apply 3 different filters to the search. First on the Gender column select the filter and check the "Male" box.

Now find and select the Multi-Skills Club. You will notice the results filter as soon as you check the box.

Finally, select the [Tag](https://scribehow.com/shared/Setting_up_Tags_and_Categories__5XtJOBZyQfm92Mbg8paH_g) you wish to filter by. In this example, we are looking for Free School Meals.

After you have filtered the data, you will be presented with the final results of your actions.

To export your filtered search results, select the option "Bulk Actions" and then choose "Export Selected".

Select "Export to Excel".

Filters can be easily reset to start again by the "Clear All" function. FiIters can be used for Pupils, Classes/Groups, Curriculum Maps and Assessments.
