Fordham University -Virtual Academic and Virtual Admin spaces [Windows App Web and Client configuration]

Windows App - Web Client (Azure Virtual Desktop Browser Access)

Navigate from your browser to <https://mydesktop.fordham.edu>or <https://windows.cloud.microsoft/> and log in with your Fordham email

Connect to your Virtual Destkop

Select your Session Settings. Click **Don't show again** if you would like this pop up to not come up next session launch.

You may configure advanced settings to your liking.

Click Connect

Click OK

Windows OS Windows App Install

Click "Sign in"

Enter your Fordham email, click next. Log into CAS and authenticate with DUO.

Click "Go to devices"

Add Desktops to your Favorites. Click the **...** next to Connect (Highlighted below)

Click "Favorite"

Configure Desktop settings. Click the **...** next to Connect and a drop down with settings will pop up. Click Settings

Toggle "Use default settings" off.

Select your desired Display configuration (Here you can configure Multi-Monitor support).

Toggle preference for **Start in full screen, Fit session to windows and Update the resolution on resize.**

Click **Settings** on the bottom left. Choose your mode "**Use system settings**"

Click "Favorites"

Click "Connect to the Virtual Desktop Workspace you need to access"

After clicking connect you will be prompted to input your password. Then click OK on the following screen.

Mac OS Windows App Install

Click the Add on menu button, then click **Add Work or School Account.**

Click this standard window

Click **Devices**

Click the Favorite toggle button on the Desktop you want to add to Favorites.

Click **...** and then click "**Edit**"

Uncheck "**Use custom settings**". (Here you can configure Multi-Monitor support).

Uncheck "**Use all monitors**" if you want your virtual desktop session to only come up on one screen.

If your Mac has a Retina Display you can select "**Optimize for Retina displays**"

You can check "**Update the session resolution on resize**"

Click "**Save**"

Go to Favorites or Devices to select Virtual Desktop

Click on the Desktop you want to launch a session with.

Microsoft Office 365 Activation

You must sign in to access MS Office full feature set. Open Excel or Word for your initial launch to sign in a prompt will pop up . Click Sign in

Type in your Fordham email address, then click next. Select **Work or school account** on the next screen. Then enter your password.

Follow Duo prompts for MFA authentication.

If you already have opened a file and Office doesn't show that it is activated, please use the following steps. - Click on your account in the top right section of the Office application window. - Click **Sign in with a different account.** - Type in your Fordham Email address, then click Next, Select **Work or school account** on the next screen. Enter your password. - Follow Duo prompts for MFA autentication.

After logging in please close your Office application and relaunch for changes to take effect.

Cloud Drive Configuration (OneDrive or Google Drive)

OneDrive Configuration

In your virtual desktop session, Open OneDrive and click **Sign in**

Enter your Fordham Email address and click **Sign in** at the **Set up OneDrive** prompt.

Click **Work or school**

Click **Work or school account**

Enter your password.

Authenticate via DUO

Click Next on the **Your OneDrive folder** screen.

OneDrive is no configured.

Google Drive Configuration

Go to Start Menu and look for Google Drive

Click **Sign in with Browser.** A browser window will pop up; enter your Fordham Email address and click **Next**.

Click **Sign in.**

Your Google Drive will now be configured and come up on your session as drive named Google Drive.
