Viewing Shared Files/Folders via Link
1
Here is an example of an email if a folder in the vault has been shared with you. If it is password protected, the credentials would also be shared.
2
To view the folder, click into it.
3
4
This is what the shared folder would look like.
5
You have the ability to view the files.
6
To download all files, select **Download** at the top right.
7
You can also download individual files if needed.
8
You can also select certain files to download.
Accessing the Vault Depository
9
This is the Vault main page.
10
If you have a MyVeritext account, you have the freedom to navigate to our other platforms: - Exhibit Share - MyVeritext - My Proceedings - My Content All of these platforms are connected to keep everything you do with Veritext just a few clicks away.
11
When you are back at the Vault dashboard, you can navigate to your other folders below, or on the **left of the page.** This is also where you can view anything that has been **shared** with you. You can select the down-tick arrow to view the sub folders.
Creating a New Folder
12
If you need a new folder, go to **Create New Folder** at the top right.
13
- Name your folder - Once entered, select Create - You'll now see that folder in the dashboard
Uploading
14
If you want to add any files to this folder, once inside the folder, select **Upload**. Or you can drag & drop directly into the folder.
15
You have the option to upload files or directly upload folders. We're choosing folder for this example.
16
- Navigate towards the desired folder - When the folder is chosen, select Upload - Confirm the file amount and select Upload one more time
17
Once the folder is uploaded, select that folder on the dashboard.\ Confirm that all files were uploaded.
Share Options
18
- You can select specific files to share if needed - Or you can select all from here - You can also select the 3 dots at the far right - To find "Share Folder."
Share Settings
19
Enter the email address you wish to share with. If the user does **not** have a MyVeritext account, they will still receive a link, but will not access the files though MyVeritext. If there are multiple emails, separate them by a comma.
In order for their name to appear, hit **Save** and then go back to **Share Folder**.
20
This will take you back to the settings and can continue from there.
21
Below the email, you'll see if other Veritext accounts have access, if any.
22
If you select the 3 dots to the right...
23
You can: - Add an expiration - Set permissions - Remove anyone previously connected to this link
24
**Add Expiration** allows you to set an expiration date for the shared folder. There is a **90 day expiration** for shared files. If you need shared files to last longer than 90 days, please contact us.
25
**Set Permissions** gives you 3 options: - View Only - View & Download - View, Download & Upload
26
**Remove** give you the ability to take emails off the shared folder, if needed.
27
You can choose the restriction for this shared folder. - Restricted - Anyone with Link
28
This is where you can set a **password**. If there had already been previous users, the password will change for everyone.
29
You'll get that notification right below the password. We can also **generate a password**.
30
Once you have a set password, you can select the 3 dots next to it for more options.
31
Here you can: - Edit Expiration - Disable/Allow Downloads - Copy Password
32
The orange will tell you which Veritext accounts have access. The blue will tell you what other emails have access that do **not** have a Veritext account.
Copying/Moving Folders
33
If you want to bring a folder from the Vault to Exhibit Share for an upcoming deposition, select the folder you'd like to copy.
34
Select the down-tick arrow next to the folder name. There you will find, *Copy Folder to Exhibit Share*.
35
Select your case in Exhibit Share. Then select the witness you plan to use these exhibits for.
36
Keep in mind, *"Vault items can only be sent into private folders."*
37
Once complete, select *Send*.
38
Let's go back to the down-tick arrow next to the folder.
39
*Move Folder* would **permanently** move the folder, not create a copy.
40
*"Moved or copied files or folders will not retain existing sharing settings. This also applies to any subfolder or files contained within them."*
41
Select the folder (and subfolder) you wish to move to. Once done, select *Move* to confirm.
