Generate and Edit a month of Google Business Profile Content with Pomelli

Learn how to use Pomelli by Google Labs to easily generate on-brand content for your business. This guide walks you through creating, editing, and downloading various marketing assets like images and campaign materials, for scheduled posting on the Maps platform. We're doing this to feed Google's AI and increase your visibility. This stuff really works. Post at least once a week, create once a month and schedule it.

Access Pomelli via Google Labs Navigate to labs.google (Google's public experimentation hub) and sign in with your existing Google account. \ Pomelli is currently available as a free tool in this experimental space.

Click "Let's get started"

Click "Let's go!"

Click "Enter your website We'll analyze your business and generate your Business DNA"

On the onboarding screen, click "Let's go" and paste the website address of your business website. Within a few minutes, Pomelli will scan your site and automatically build a digital brand profile known as your "Business DNA" This extraction includes your brand colours, fonts, tone of voice, visual aesthetic, and even your tagline and core values.

Review and Refine.

Before creating content, use this generated profile as a "brand clarity audit" to see how an AI interprets your messaging. If anything feels off, you can manually edit your brand values, upload additional images, or add your logo until you are satisfied

Create Campaigns!

Once your Business DNA looks good, you can move into the campaign creation phase. Pomelli will immediately provide auto-suggested campaign ideas, or you can type in a custom prompt (e.g., "create a campaign that sells my short-form video program focusing on audience pain points") The AI will generate multiple angles and visual creatives that perfectly match your brand's identity.

Edit and Export

You have complete editorial control over the generated assets. You can change images, tweak headers and descriptions, adjust layouts, or even animate the images to give them some movement. Once you are happy with the creatives, simply download the files to use as social media carousels, ads, or email banners

Generate Campaign Ideas (more advanced)...

Pomelli will automatically suggest a few campaign concepts based on your newly created Business DNA. However, you can also write a custom prompt describing exactly what you want to promote. You can be highly specific here, detailing your target audience, pricing, pain points, and desired call to action. Pomelli will then generate multiple different angles and campaign ideas for you to choose from.

Add Eye-Catching Animations

To make your posts stand out in a busy feed, Pomelli offers an "animate" button. This applies subtle movements, such as flowing water, moving clouds, or a ripple effect to your still images. You can choose to animate the image with the text included, or animate just the background image without text.

Text and Copy

You can freely edit the header, description, and call to action (CTA) If you are unhappy with the generated copy, you can also use the AI to generate a brand new CTA (call to action! 'Buy NOW!!')

Resize and A/B Test

If you want to run these creatives across different platforms, you can duplicate the designs and reformat them into different sizes, such as a 9x16 ratio for stories (think TikTok or Instagram) or a square ratio for feed (Facebook, LinkedIn) posts. For Our Business Profile Posts, we will keep them as is for now but any size works, don't stress this kind of stuff. If you want to keep them all the same, I suggest square as your default, its pretty standard and just works! (I've tested them all)

Image Modification and Regeneration

If an image doesn't look quite right, you can swap it out, upload a new one, or click a button to regenerate entirely new visual concepts. You can also use text prompts to make highly specific edits to a generated image (e.g., typing a command like "I want him to be looking in the mirror and actually putting the face cream on his face" Honestly though, use real images where you can.

To make still images stand out, you can apply basic animations (like flowing water or moving clouds) to add subtle movement to your posts. You have the option to animate the image with the text included, or animate just the background image without the text.

If you don't like any of the outputs, simply delete them.

**Download and Post**

Once your creatives are finalised, you simply download the files directly to your computer. You are then ready to upload them to your social media scheduler, post them natively to platforms like LinkedIn, or launch them as paid advertisements. We will be primarily using them to schedule on GBP but you can use them, share them, do what you like with them :)\ \ Now while it's still fresh in your head, make a folder, name it the month, and put all the outputs in there, you'll thank yourself later instead of digging through download folders.

We're done! Come back next month and do it again. I recommend this way because you should be more in contact with your content. Theoretically, you could produce a year's worth, but is your thinking, "What's on brand, gonna be a hundred percent right in ten months' time?" Put the effort in. What we do today, creates tomorrow! Use these AI tools as a human in the loop. Look at what it outputs. 95% will be good to go, but don't let that 5% go out, no AI-Slop!
