To go to the [[Genetics]] page (coat color forecast), click on [[Genetics]] in the main menu.

At the top of the Sire and Dam sections there is a drop-down where you can select one of your dogs to prefill the loci. Note that only dogs for which you have added their genotypes on the dog's Genetics page will be listed here. You can also enter the loci manually on this page. Also, if you selected a dog you can change or add to the selected loci. The coat genes are divided into two sections: 1. Coat Color Loci 1. A (Agouti) 2. AS (Saddle Tan) 3. B (Brown) 4. C (Albinism) 5. D (Dilute) 6. CO (Cocoa) 7. E (Extension) 8. H (Harlequin) 9. K (Black) 10. M (Merle) 11. S (Spotting) 12. R (Roan) 2. Coat Type Loci 1. Cu (Curly Coat) 2. IC (Furnishings) 3. L (Long Coat/Fluffy) 4. I (Intensity) 5. T (Bobtail) 6. SD (Shedding)

If a locus is filled in for both the sire and the dam it will turn green and will be included in the forecast. Note that if a locus is only filled in for one of the two dogs it will NOT be included in the forecast.

Once you have filled in all the loci, click the Forecast Offspring button at the bottom of the page. Note that you have to enter at least the A and the K loci otherwise this button will not be active.

The forecast has three sections: 1. Simple Forecast (visible) 2. Detailed Forecast (visible, hidden, carried) 3. Punnet Squares

The **Simple Forecast** section shows the visible colors (phenotypes).

The **Detailed Forecast** section shows the different **genotypes**, including the **hidden** and **carried** genes.

The **Punnet Squares** section shows the punnet squares used to calculate the different genotypes.
