Evacuation & Incident Management

View this guide to quickly locate and use the real-time Evacuation Report to account for everyone during drills or real emergencies. It explains filtering, mobility and care-type indicators, exporting/printing, and headcount tools so your transportation and safety teams can act fast. You'll also learn how to start, track, and close incidents and message active sign-ins for coordinated responses.

Navigate to [https://dashboard.accushield.com/](https://dashboard.accushield.com/landing) either on a computer or a smartphone. Click "Evacuation Report" from the navigation bar. You can also access this by hovering over the "Reports" tab.

This is a real-time report that can help in accounting for people during an emergency drill or real evacuation scenario. The report lists all residents, guests, tours & staff that are in the building, as well as a list of who's currently signed out of the building.

At the top of the Evacuation report, you can filter the view by care type, or building. **Note:** If you have an active resident integration, you are not able to use the building function. If you want to apply a Care Type or Building filter, make sure to hit "Apply"

Any residents with mobility concerns (Wheelchair, walker, cane) will be identified by an icon next to their name. In addition, we’ve included the count of residents with mobility concerns at the top of the report. This should be helpful to your transportation team should you need to transport residents off site.

Along with a mobility icon, you can also view a resident's care type and room number next to their name. If a resident has signed out of the community using the kiosk or mobile app, we will show that on this report. They will show as being signed out until they have signed back in (or a staff member signs them in on their behalf using the [Resident Sign Out Log](https://scribehow.com/viewer/Track_Resident_Sign-Outs__sr3N-yqQTJeeZ3J7d_uZeQ?referrer=documents))

Guest details will include the phone number and reason for selected that was entered at sign in. You can use the checkboxes next to a person's name to perform a headcount.

You can change the way the report displays information by clicking the icon with three lines stacked in the top right corner.

If you want to export the evacuation report to download it onto your device, or if you want to print it to a connected printer, select the appropriate button. You can also print the evacuation report from the kiosk as well in case of emergency. Using our Connect Messaging tool, you now have the option to message anyone that is actively signed in, including your staff and residents. **Note:** Connect Messaging must be enabled to use this feature. Additionally, when it comes to messaging guests and outside visitors, you can only message guests that have opted into receiving your Connect messages. When you select to message active sign-ins, a pop-up will appear. You will identify which visitor categories to message and then input your message. Once done, click send. **Note:** Resident and staff will not receive a message unless their phone number and/or email address is connected to their profile in the dashboard. You can edit their profiles using the "Accounts" tab in the dashboard.

A pop-up will appear showing your message has sent. You can click the "Connect" in the pop-up to be redirected to a report that tracks your messages and recipients.

Within the Evacuation Report, you can also track incidents. Our Incident Management module allows you to track the full lifecycle of an emergency or drill with ease. Through this feature, you can: - **Log events quickly:** Easily select incident types like weather, fire drills, or power outages. - **Capture vital details:** Record start and end times, impacted buildings, and specific care types. **Stay organized:** Add helpful notes to ensure every detail of the event is documented clearly. To start or view an Incident, select the "Incident" tab from the Evacuation Report.

To add an incident, click "Start Incident"

Once you’ve selected "Start Incident", complete the details on the pop up. Most of the fields are required to fill in except for the "End Date" and "Note" fields. Click "Start" once all required fields have been populated.

If you didn't add an "End Date" to your incident, it will show was in progress and will start tracking any resident, staff or outside guest in the building during the totality of the incident. Once the incident has ended, be sure to select "End Incident"

You can click into any created incident to view a clear snapshot of your sign-in log for the duration of any event. Reporting will show everyone impacted, including visitors, staff, and third-party providers, even if they signed out before the event concluded. This ensures every person impacted by the event is known.

If you need to update the "End Date" for an incident or add in "Notes," you can check the box next to an incident and choose "Edit"
