Guide to creating routes

Choose 'Routes' in the top bar and then click '+ Create route'

Select the starting point from the drop-down menu. It shows the locations you have created on the 'Locations' page

Then you select the destination of the route you are creating

Add a transport leg by clicking 'Add leg +'

Select a transport type from the drop-down list
Container - transport full load: a full load driven directly from sender to receiver without reloading at transport hubs. Freight bulk via transport hubs: standard freight of less than full load with international transport companies that reload and optimise the loading of the trucks at transport hubs. Direct trip (own vehicle): your company's or supplier's own vehicles or rented vehicles transport your goods only.

Select the transport method
In method of transport, you select whether the goods are transported by air cargo, barge, ferry, sea freight container, freight train, or lorry.

Enter the transport distance i kilometres
If you do not know the distance of this route, you can use a free tool called [Ecotransit](https://www.ecotransit.org/en/) to calculate it for you. We have a [guide](https://www.maalbar.dk/tutorials/) to the use of this tool (password: CO2E)

Writing a note is optional. If there's only one transport leg, like in the shown example, click 'Create route'

The route now appears in the list on the 'Routes' page. To create another route, click '+ Create route'

In this example, the goods are transported by lorry from Jelgava in Latvia to the habour in Riga. From here, they are transported by sea ship to Copenhagen. From there, they are transported by lorry to the warehouse in Roskilde. This means, that there are three transport legs. These are entered individually.
