If you don’t know the exact transportation routes of your products, you can use this tool to calculate the distances. Why not just use Google maps? Because Google maps is not programmed to show you the most likely route for transportation of goods. EcoTransit is.

Go to [www.ecotransit.org](http://www.ecotransit.org) and click 'Start the new Emission Calculation here...'

Enter the departure location here.

Select the right location from the drop-down menu.

The chosen location is shown on the map. Then choose transport method from the icons.

Enter the destination here.

Select the right location from the drop-down menu.

The location is shown on the map. Then click 'Calculate'.

The road distance is presented under the tab named 'Mobility' as well as is the left column between the departure locatoin and destination.

You can add a transport leg by clicking 'Edit' here.

Click on the plus icon.

Select another transport method.

Enter the next destination

Select the right option from the drop-down menu.

The location is shown in the map.

Click 'Calculate'.

In the left column, you can see the road and sea distance of each transport leg. In the tab 'Mobility', you can see the total road and sea distance from departure location to final destination.

To begin a new calculation, click 'Emission Calculator'.
