How Do I: File a NIL Return

If the campaign you are filing a return for had no activity, meaning that no contributions were collected and no expenditures were incurred, you may file a NIL return. This will bypass the audit functionality, and indicate that the return has been locked with no transactions.

Elections

Navigate to <https://elms.elections.sk.ca/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2F>

Click "Election Return" for the candidate which you would like to file a NIL return for.

Click "Nil Return"

Tip! The NIL Return Button is only available on returns where NO data has been entered. As soon as a contribution or expense is entered on the return, the NIL button will disapear.

Click "Yes"

A message will appear notifying you that you have successfully submitted your NIL return in ELMS. Note you will still need to print a copy of the return and file with Elections Saskatchewan.

Click "Return PDF"

This will generate a PDF return that you may print and provide to Elections Saskatchewan.
