How To Add Professions

Open Magnar HCM link and login to your ESS page.

To access the Backoffice, click the settings icon in the top right corner of your screen and select "Go to Payroll."

Click on your organization to navigate to the organization page.

There are two ways to add new "Professions" in Magnar HCM.

First Way: Manual Entries

Select "Professions".

**Profession** refers to the specific job or role an employee holds within the organization (e.g., Accountant, Chef, Driver). In Magnar, the *Profession* field is essential for classifying employee roles and will also be used when hiring new applicants to match them with the appropriate job position during the recruitment process.

Click on "New" to add all the necessary details, and click "Save" to add your "Profession".

Your profession has been added successfully.

Second Way: Bulk Upload

Return to the organization level and select your company.

Navigate to "Data Import" and select "Import Professions".

By selecting "Download Template With Data", an excel file will be downloaded.

Add all the professions under "Code" and "Description" sections. Under "ID", you can either keep it empty or put a "0" for new professions. Then save your excel file.

Go back to Magnar HCM, click "Upload".

Select the Excel file you just saved.

Click "Upload" after selecting the file.

Go back to the "Professions" page and your professions have been successfully added.
