How To Add Pupils

This guide provides information on how to add pupils names and information to your school. We have three methods to add pupil data: 1) 'Full form details' to add one pupil at a time. 2) 'Quick Add Pupils Form' the quickest and easiest way to add pupils. 3) 'Upload Pupils CSV' which is used when you want to add detailed pupil information.

Adding pupils one at a time via the 'Full Form Details' method

Adding one pupil at a time - Navigate to 'Pupils' tab on the drop-down menu select 'Full Details Form'.

Click the "Name of Pupil" field and add the pupil's name. You do not have to add any further information other than the name.

Fill out any of the other optional pupil information you wish to include.

Click "Save Details"

The new pupil has now been added.

Adding pupils with the 'Quick Add Pupils Form' this is the easiest way to add lists of pupils.

Select Quick Add Pupils from the drop-down menu

Copy the list of names from your Excel, Word document or other list.

Click the "Enter Pupil Names" field and paste the names in. Please note you can also type names directly into this area.

Make sure to add a comma after each name in the list

If you wish, you can add the list of names to a **new** or **existing** class or group by creating it simultaneously; in this example, all these children are being added to a **new** Year 5 Owls class.

You can add the pupils to more than one class or group at a time

In this different example, you can see that you can add you list of pupils to an **existing class** from the drop-down menu.

Once all the information has been added, Click "Create"

You can now see the pupils you added and the classes/groups they are in.

Please note that you can add more information to an individual pupil's profile at anytime.

Upload Pupils from CSV - this is the best option to add detailed pupil information to your organisation.

From the drop-down menu select 'Upload Pupils from CSV'

Download the template CSV file

Add in any information in the CSV that you wish to be added for each pupil. Please note that for the upload to be successful the follow must be followed: 1. The names field must contain data. 2. The Tags must match the same acronym in the your organisation set up (or leave blank) e.g SEN must already exist. 3. A new class will be created unless the name matches **the exact format** of an existing class e.g **Year 6 Butterfly** already exists as a class you cannot enter **year 6 butterfly** if you require the children to be added to the **Year 6 Butterfly**, otherwise a new class will be created.

Once you have created and saved your CSV file, upload it here.

You will now see that your pupil data has been added to your organisation.
