How To Apply For Jobs At Western Nevada College

This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough of the online application process for job openings at Western Nevada College via the Workday platform. Follow these steps to register an account, upload your education and experience, and submit your application.

How to Find Job Postings

Navigate to Western Nevada Colleges careers page at [wnc.edu/jobs](https://wnc.edu/human-resources/jobs.php)

Click either the ***External Applicants*** or ***Internal Applicants*** buttons. The ***Internal Applicants*** option should be used by current employees of any institution within the Nevada System of Higher Education.

Browse available jobs from the careers page. Click on each job to see more detailed information including job descriptions, minimum requirements, application instructions, compensation, location, and contact information.

Create an Account

Click the position you are interested in applying for.

Click the ***Apply*** button

Click ***Apply Manually***

First time users will need to create an account. Enter a personal email address and create a password. Returning users can select the Sign In link at the bottom of the login window.

Click ***Create Account***

Navigate to the email account that you used to create your account. Look for the email that says "Verify your candidate account", and select the link in the email to complete your account set-up.

The email link will route you to the WNC Career page login. Enter your newly created email and password.

Completing the Application

Complete each section of the application by selecting from the dropdowns for each question, entering into text fields, and uploading documents when prompted. Required fields are marked in each section with an asterik symbol (\*). You can monitor your progress through the application using the progress bar at the top of the application window.

Navigate to each section of the application by selecting the ***Save and Continue*** or ***Next*** button at the bottom of each window.

In the ***My Experience*** section, enter previous work experience for current and prior roles by selecting the ***Add*** button.

Repeat as needed to add additional work history. Click the ***Add Another*** button to add additional roles.

Add details about **Education** and **Certifications** in each section by selecting the **Add** buttons.

Resume/CV are required. Upload a copy of your resume/cv using the document upload space.

Submit Required Attachments

Some recruitments may require applicants to include additional documents with their application. It is important to verify the requirements for each application and upload additional documents not uploaded in other places in the application to the ***Additional Documents*** upload space.

Verify additional document requirements by clicking ***Back to Job Posting*** at the top of the application window. You progress on the application will be saved and you can return to it at any time.

Attachments are included on the ***Job Announcement*** under the "***Required Attachment*s**" section

After reviewing, click the ***Continue Application*** button to return to your application.

Submitting Application

Once you've completed all parts of the application, review your application in the final ***Review*** step. Click the ***Submit*** button to complete and submit your application.

Complete Additional Tasks

Applicants may receive additional tasks to complete after submitting the application. Select the ***Start*** button to complete additional items. Outstanding tasks are also listed at To-Do items under the "My Tasks" section of the candidate home page.

Monitoring Candidate Home Page

Candidates may recieve additional tasks to complete through the recruitment process. Outstanding tasks will be displayed under the "***To-Do***" list in the ***My Tasks*** section of your candidate homepage.

Monitoring Application Status

Candidates can view the status of their application using the ***My Applications*** section on the candidate home page.

Click the ***Actions*** button (...) next to each application to view the application or withdraw your application from consideration.

Changing Account Settings

Click ***Settings*** to update personal contact information or to manage your account settings, including email address and password.

Sign Out

Click your ***email address*** in the upper-right corner of the applicant screen and select ***Sign Out***
