Navigate to the grantee portal home page. [https://usendowment.my.site.com/grants](https://usendowment.my.site.com/grants/s/)

Select the **Opportunities for Funding** tab.

Select the Request (from the **Docket Name** column) for which you want to start the application.

Select the **New Application** button.

If this is your first session with this application, select the **Begin a new application** button. If you are continuing an application already in progress, select the **Continue an existing application** button (in which case you will be directed to step **8**).

Select **Next.**

If this was a new application initiation, you will receive an additional pop-up window confirming that the application has been created - select **Next** an additional instance to begin the application.

Complete all the **Project Information** fields.

Select **Next**

Complete the **Financial Information** section.

Download the **Project Budget and Narrative** template and complete the document.

**Tip:** you will have the opportunity to save your progress for later if you need extended time to complete this document.

Upload the completed Project Budget and Narrative document: select **Upload Files** (from your computer's file manager window) or **drop files** (drag and drop directly into the space).

**Tip:** You can upload multiple files, but the portal upload feature will only display the last uploaded file. If you want to check to ensure all files were uploaded, you can save (see step **29** below), then reopen the application, and you will see all files uploaded in the **Files** tab.

**Alert:** you will be redirected back to the uploads steps if you attempt to submit the application without uploading the documents.

Complete the **Indirect Costs** section (if utilizing an indirect cost rate).

Complete the **Potential Matching Funds** section if applicable for your project.

Complete the **Payment Information** section.

Download the **Certification Regarding Debarment, Suspension, Ineligibility and Voluntary Exclusion** template and complete the document.

Upload the completed Certification Regarding Debarment, Suspension, Ineligibility and Voluntary Exclusion document: select **Upload Files** (from your computer's file manager window) or **drop files** (drag and drop directly into the space).

**Alert:** you will be redirected back to the uploads steps if you attempt to submit the application without uploading the documents.

Select **Next**

Review the existing program contacts.

If you need to add additional team members to the project team, you can do so from the pulldown menu at the bottom of the page. Select **Yes**, then **Next**, and proceed to step **21**. If you do not need to add additional team members, leave the pulldown menu blank (**--None--**) or Select **No**, then Select **Next** and skip to step **23**.

Add the Reporting, Financial, and/or Contract Signatory contacts from the pulldown menus as needed.

**Tip:** if there is not already an existing contact record for the person you wish to assign a role, there is a CREATE NEW USER option at the bottom of the pulldown menu list - select this option and follow the directions to create the new contact.

**Tip:** for each of the contact additions, Check **Portal Access?** if this contact will need a login to the grantee portal to complete any reports, invoice submissions, or modifications for this request. Each contact checked will receive an email (sent to the email address associated with their contact record) with instructions on creating a login. **Note that the contract signatory does not need portal access in order to sign the contract.**

Select **Next** which returns you to step **20**.

Note the alert, "Please be sure you have completed your Workplan Activities before submitting..."

...and select the **Workplan Activities** tab above.

On the Workplan Activities page, select the **New** button to create a new **Outcome** record.

Complete the **Workplan Details** fields and select the **Save** button at the bottom.

If you need to create any additional **Workplan Activities/Outcomes** records, select the **New** button and repeat step **26**. When you have created all necessary **Workplan Activity/Outcomes** record(s), move ahead to step **28**.

Select the **Application** tab to return to the main application final review page.

Review your submission. If you are ready to submit your application, skip to step **31**. If you are **not** ready to submit the report, select **Save for Later**, then **Next**.

**Tip:** saving for later is useful if you realize you are missing some documentation or data needed for the report but don't want to lose your progress on the submission. Once saved, you can revisit the incomplete application through the same steps **1-3** above.

You will receive a confirmation message that the application progress has been saved. To return to editing, you can select the **Edit Application** button, but after the portal times out, you can return to editing by returning to step **2**.

If you are ready to submit the application, select **Submit Application**, then the **Next** button below.

You will then be directed to the **Application Submitted** confirmation page. From here you can navigate to any other desired actions through: 1. Selecting the **Review** button below to review the application you just submitted 2. Selecting the **click here** link (below the **Application Submitted** message) to review all your applications. 3. Selecting any of the main tabs at the top to navigate to another function.

You will receive an email confirmation once you have submitted your application. Once received, we will review the application and contact you if we have any questions or additional documentation is required.
