Downloading the Software

Sign in to your school portal as a super-admin

Click the "ATTENDANCE" menu-group

Click "Biometric Attendance"

Click "BioAttendance Software"

Click "Download"

In the popup displayed, click the download for the version of your operating system.\ \ Currently, only the Windows operating system is supported. Other operating system versions will be coming later.
Installing the Software

Once your download is complete, locate the downloaded file and Right click on the it and select "**Run as administrator**" to proceed with the installation of the software.\ \ In case you see any red **[[Windows Defender Smartscreen]]** notification during the installation, you can go ahead and click "**More Info**" and then click "**Run anyway**".\ \ Proceed with every step of the installation wizard until the software is successfully installed.
Obtaining your license keys (from your online portal)
Once your software is successfully installed and you launch, it it will require you to provide your license keys in order to finalize the installation phase and connect the software to your online school portal.\ \ This means that you cannot use the BioAttendance software effectively without firstly providing your license keys.\ \ How do you get your license keys?

Sign in to your online school portal as an admin.\ \ Click "Attendance"

Click "Biometric Attendance"

Click "BioAttendance Software"

Click "Config / License Keys"

*(Note: Copying the license keys without firstly activating them may not work).*\ \ Click the switch button to activate you license keys.
In the next screen, you will find the one-time payment you need to make for the license activation. \ You may also be able select to get a 30-day trial (if available) and proceed with it for now; after which expiry you will then need to pay for for the proper license activation.

**OPTIONALLY**, you may select to order attendance machine(s) and/or accessories alongside.\ \ If you order any physical items, they will be shipped to the shipping/delivery address you'll provide - through any of our partner courier service providers.\ \ You can also purchase the supported attendance machine(s) from other electronic/computer accessories dealers/shops near you.\ While buying the device(s) elsewhere, ensure to verify the authenticity online at <https://www.zkteco.com/en/anti_counterfeiting_enquiry>

If your subscription wallet balance is not sufficient to handle the payment, click "Top Up Wallet Now" and proceed to fund the wallet with the necessary amount.

Once you complete the payment: 1. Your license keys for the BioAttendance software will be activated instantly. 2. If you added any additional item, your order will be received by our team, and the order processing will start. You will be contacted subsequently for order delivery.
Activating the Software with your license keys

Launch/Open the installed BioAttendance software (if not already open).\ You will find the screen below asking you to provide your API/license keys.\ \ You will need to copy each of the keys from your online portal and paste them accordingly here.

Now that your license keys are activated fully (or in free trial), open the license leys page on your online portal.\ \ Use the "Copy" button to copy each key as needed.

Switch back to the BioAttendance software to paste the copied key. \ Ensure to copy and paste the keys one after the other without mixing them up.

Click "Connect School" and wait for the software to establish connection and handshake with your online portal. \ *(this may take a bit of time - some seconds to a minute)*

Once the connection and handshake is successful, the software will then open a login page for you to sign in (using the same admin login details you use on the online portal).
