How To: Register A New Horse

This guide will take you through the steps of adding and registering a horse in the system. Important: You must be a current EA member to register a horse. In this guide, you will learn how to: 1. **Access the Horse Hub**\ In the **Member Area**, select **Horse Hub**. *Tip:* This is where you can view and manage all of your registered horse information.

**Add a new horse**\ Under **Horse List**, go to the top-right corner and select **New Horse**. This will begin the process of adding or registering a horse.

**Fill in basic details**\ Enter all mandatory fields and add any additional owners if required. Mandatory fields include: - **Foal Date** - **Breed/Type** - **Sex** - **Microchip** (must be 15 digits) When finished, select **Next** at the bottom of the page to continue to **Asset Details**.

**Asset details**\ Complete the mandatory field **Alternative Name**. This will be used if your preferred name is not available. Click **Save** at the bottom of the page to save your progress.

**Asset details**\ Continue filling out the required information. When finished, click **Save** to proceed with the registration process. *Note:* You can return later to update any non-mandatory fields if needed.

**Declaration**\ Read through the declaration carefully. At the bottom, tick the box to confirm your agreement. *This step is mandatory.* To proceed, click **Save**, then select **Next**.

**Certifications**\ If your horse has any of the following **Passports**, click **Add** to enter the details. If this does not apply, click **Next** at the bottom of the page to continue.

**Primary licence**\ Under **Organisations**, select the **State** where you are a member. *Important:* You must be a **current member** to add a horse. Not a current member? Click **Save Draft** and complete your **Athlete Membership** first before continuing.

**Select your primary licence type**\ Choose which **Primary Licence** you would like to purchase: **Full Licence:** Allows the horse to compete in official graded competitions. **Base Licence:** Does not permit entry into official graded competitions. *Note:* The **Full Guest Licence** is only available to **international competitors**.

**Proceed to additional licences**\ After selecting your **Primary Licence**, click **Next**. This will take you to the **Additional Licences (Competition Licence)** section.

**Additional licences**\ Select **Organisation**. In this example, **Queensland**. This will display the **additional licences** available in the State where you are registered. *Note:* Licence types may vary depending on your **State or Territory**. *Check with your State Branch if you are unsure which additional licence you require.*

**Select a competition licence**\ Choose which **Competition Licence** you would like and add it to your horse.

**Finish registration**\ After selecting your **Competition Licence**, click **Finish Registration** at the bottom of the page to complete the process.

**Proceed to cart**\ Select **Go to Cart** to pay for your registration. You can also choose **View Details** to check that all information is correct before proceeding.

**Checkout and payment**\ After reviewing your cart, select **Pay with Card** to proceed with payment. *Note:* Your registration will not be active until payment is completed.

**Enter payment details**\ Enter your **card details**, then select **Pay** to complete your purchase.

**Payment confirmation**\ You will be offered the option to **download a payment confirmation**. To do this, select **Download a PDF Receipt**. Alternatively, you will receive a **confirmation email** once your payment has been processed. *Note:* If you don’t see the email, check your **junk** or **spam** folder.

**Congratulations!** Your horse is now successfully registered. After this, you can click **Home** to return to the main menu.
