How To Register for AEA Learning Online (Create an Account)

**If you have had an account in the system before,** **DO NOT create a new account**. Instead, reach out to support at support@aealearningonline.org.

Navigate to [training.aealearningonline.org](https://training.aealearningonline.org/index_login.php)

If this is your first time using the site, you will need to click **Register Here** located below the login with identAEA button.

It will first ask if you want to create a **K12 Student** account or if you want to create an **Adult** account.

You should *always* click **Adult**. The Student Personalized Learning System (SPLS) is currently not supported. Additionally, **K12 Student** accounts are not able to access training in the **Adult** AEA Learning Online training system.

You will be asked if you think you already have an **identAEA** account. If you select **Yes** that you *think* you already have an account in IdentAEA, it will prompt you to exit the registration system and sign in with your Ident AEA credentials. IdentAEA credentials are used across multiple AEA websites. If you don't have an account or don't think you have an account, click **No**.

If you have a BoEE folder number, and you know what it is, you can enter it in now by first clicking **Yes** and then typing it into the box. You can look up your BoEE folder number by visiting:<https://iowaboee.my.site.com/LicenseSearchPage>

If you do not know your BoEE folder number, or you do not have one, click **No** and continue on to entering your **Email Address**. Put in the email address you would like to use to sign into your account. *This can be changed later, but make sure it is an email you always have access to.* If you enter your email address and it has been used to create an account before, you will get a screen where it will prompt you to log in. You can then check mark if you want promotional emails from AEA Learning Online.

Note: You will still get emails from the system even if you do not check this box. We will send you and email when a course you are enrolled in is about to expire or you have a valid certificate that is about to expire. These are automated and cannot be turned off.

If you are employed at a school district or AEA, you can add that to your account now by selecting **Yes**. You will then be prompted to select your **District or AEA** place of employment and then enter the **District Verification Code**. If you are not an employee, click **No**.

**Note:** If you do not know your district verification code, you can contact the district using the information listed when you select your district or AEA. You can then either wait until you get that verification code to finish setting up your account or select **No** and add in your employment information later.

Type in your name and the **Password** you would like to use to sign in with.

It is best practice to use capital and lowercase letters, numbers, symbols, and special characters when creating a password. Make sure to choose something you can remember.

Your **Address** information is mandatory. You can choose if you want to put in your **Phone Number,** but it is helpful if we need to contact you.

When the account has been created, you will be directed to your identAEA profile. Please review your profile to make sure everything is correct.
