How To Set Up and Sell Raffle Tickets (Butler Version)

Start by going to Items > Manage Items

Click Add Item to create a Raffle item or click into your raffle item.

Make sure the item type is Quantity Use the Set Quantity/Purchase price options to set multiple levels of purchasing

If you have a limited quanity of raffles to sell, change Limited? to Quantity and Quantity Remaining to the number of tickets you have left to sell. If you do not have a limit, keep the Limited? to No and Quantity Remaining to 0

- Enter in FMV (**It's important** that the FMV equals the ticket price so the system does not indicate a possible tax-deductible amount for the purchase of a raffle ticket. The purchase of a raffle ticket is not a charitable contribution and is not tax-deductible. The IRS considers a raffle ticket to be a contribution from which you, the nonprofit organization will benefit.) - If you have multiple quantities, the FMV displayed will be for the smallest quantity available.

Navigate to cbo.io/butler or Event Central > Butler

Under Add a Bid/Multi-Sale add the bidder you are selling a raffle ticket to.

Type in the raffle ticket item name or number and select it from the dropdown.

Choose the number of tickets the bidder would like to purchase and click Add bid.

Click "Place Bid" Hand out your raffle tickets at the time of purchase.

If a bidder needs to check out immediatly, look them up under the Bidder Lookup section of the butler and click the red Checkout button and choose a payment method.

If you are selecting a winner using physical tickets, put your raffle tickets into a bucket and pull your winning ticket.

Click the "Search for Bidder" field.

Type in the bidder's name. (Test).

Click "Search"

Click "Checkout"

Click this dropdown.

Click here.

If you are selecting your winner virtually, go to Items > Manage items and click "Has Bids".

Click "Download Qty Purchases"

This will download a report showing each bidder and the number of tickets they purchased.

Go to Google and type in "Random Number Generator" Type in the first row number in your spreadsheet that contains a bidder name and the last row number that contains a name. Click Generate. In this example, Number 9 is your winner. Note their name and contact them to let them know they won!
