- **For faculty that block office hours in their Outlook calendar as 'Busy':** You will need to mark that time as 'Free' in Outlook in order to allow students to schedule with you in Navigate. If that time is marked as 'Busy' in Outlook, it will block that time in Navigate as well.
- Calendars only sync Busy or Tentative times from your Outlook calendar. Any calendar appointment that is marked as ‘Free’ or ‘Private’ in Outlook will not sync over.
- Most all-day events default to 'Free' in calendars. If you need to be unavailable for appointment scheduling in Navigate, you will need to mark those all-day events as 'Busy' in Outlook to avoid appearing available in Navigate.
- In the opposite case, all-day 'Free' events **with no end day** might sync as 'Busy' in Navigate. Should that occur, and you need to be 'Free' in Navigate, include an end date for them in Outlook to sync as 'Free' in Navigate.
- Navigate only syncs events up to one year in the future. If a recurring event stretches beyond that, instances that occur after one year won't get synced initially.
- If your name or email has changed, you need to have your account reset. The information will need to be put into user settings before syncing the updated calendar. Email [navigatehelp@pittstate.edu](mailto:navigatehelp@pittstate.edu) if this is your situation.
