How To Tag A Candidate As "Do Not Hire" In Gem

Navigate to [https://www.gem.com](https://www.gem.com/ats/jobs/5489874002/candidates) and sign in using your Gmail credentials.

Begin by searching your candidate. You can search them using the "Search" tool and typing their name in the search field, and/or clicking on "Jobs" and selecting the role in which they are under.

Click on the candidate you do not wish to move forward with to open up their profile.

In the candidate profile, scroll down the right ribbon until you find the "Notes" box.

Leave a note as to why this person is not a fit so our teammates are in the loop and know how to proceed accordingly. I.e. Type "Would not like to hire now and/or in the future because X,Y,Z."

Click "Post"

Scroll up above the "Notes" box to find "Projects"

Click the "Add to a project" field.

Type "do not hire"

Click on the project called "Do Not Hire"

Navigate to the top right hand corner and select the drop down next to "Reject..."

Click either "Reject with message" or "Reject without message" If the candidate gave a reason for dropping out, click "Mark as dropped out"
