How To Transfer Students Between Classes In The Same Academic Session

Note that this is used to move/transfer multiple students from one class to another in the same academic session. \ This process is different from **Students Class Promotion** - which entails promoting students into a new (higher class) at the start of a new academic year/session.\ \ This is useful in cases such as having enrolled or bulk-uploaded students into the wrong class during data entry.

Click "People"

Click "Students"

Click "Students Promotion / Class Transfer / Graduation"

Under the "Action" dropdown field, select "Class Transfer (within the same academic session)"

Select the academic session where the students are enrolled (and where you want to do the class transfer)

Select the class where the students are currently enrolled in (in the selected session)

Select the class arm they are enrolled in too

Click "Next"

Use the checkboxes to select the particular students you want to move to a particular class.\ Note that if you will be moving different groups of students from same list to different classes, you will need to repeat the entire steps for each group/destination. So, select one group meant for same destination class at a time.

In the "Transfer to Class" dropdown field, select the destination class where you want to move the selected students into

Select the destination class arm as well

Scroll down and click "Proceed"

Click "Yes Go On" in the confirmation box displayed.\ \ You will see a notification on the screen once the action is successful.

You can repeat the steps if you want to move another set of students to a different destination class.
