How to Access Trial Balance Report in Thrive Accounts

Navigate to <https://app.thriveaccounts.com/> and open the General Ledger module.

Click "Trial Balance"

Enter the range of periods for your report - by default these will be the start of the current financial year to the end of the current financial year.

Choose whether you want a comparative metric - such as the year to date, prior periods, last year, or your own range of periods.

If you chose “select periods” in the comparative dropdown, enter your range of periods here

Lastly, choose whether or not to include accounts with zero balances.

Click "RUN REPORT"

the trial balance report will show all accounts in the general ledger - excluding those with zero balances if you selected "No" for that filter.

On the left is the account code and name, followed by the type.

On the right are the fields for our selected period and comparison period.

The first two fields are the debit and credit amounts for each account for our selected periods

The last two fields are the debit and credit, but for our comparison periods.

The total debits and credits of all accounts will be at the bottom of the report. The two left values will be our selected periods and the two values on the right are the comparison periods.

Lastly, you can export your report to a CSV file or to a PDF using the download icons in the top right.
