How to Access & Manage User Authorization for Ohio Business Gateway

Navigate to [https://gateway.ohio.gov](https://gateway.ohio.gov/)

Click "Log In"

Enter username & password, then click "Log in"

ADDING TRANSACTION TYPES TO ACCOUNT

Click the Lock on the right side of the screen.

Click "Transaction Types"

Click the + sign to add them to your account.

Add all the transaction types you would like to your account.

ADDING SERVICE AREAS TO ACCOUNT

Click here.

Click "Access Requests"

Click the + sign to add service areas to the account.

ADDING USERS TO ACCOUNT

Click here.

Click "Service Area Access Management (8)"

Click the check mark to approve adding the user to the Service Area. This DOES NOT give them any permissions, that is the next set of steps.

Click "Confirm"

USER ACCESS PERMISSIONS

\*Click "User Authorization"

Click "Service Area Access Management (8)"

Click here to select the individual you would like to give access to.

Click the Filer's name & the Service Areas you would like to give at least one level of access to. If you click "Transaction Type" this will only bring up that transaction, not all related to it. For example, If I want to allow Staci to file my CAT Tax, as well as cancel my CAT Tax account, I can click the CAT Tax Service Area box **OR** the CAT Annual & CAT Cancel Account under Transaction Type.

Click "Copy Permissions" - this will make the header permissions copy to all the lines below.

If you do not want to copy all permissions, you can click through each line selecting access for the individual user.

Then click "Save"

Click through each of the Service Areas & give access.

Confirm that all permissions are as you would like them to be, clicking "Save" upon each change"

Log out.
