How to Add Events to the UCSA website for promotion

Alert! To add events to the website you will need access to the club website admin tools. If you don't already have access, [learn how to access these here](https://scribehow.com/viewer/How_To_Access_Your_Club_Admin_Tools__4lD86cMCQAWWYQwqtYs1-g).

Click "Events" option in the Admin Tools menu

Click "Add new event"

Click the "Event name" field, and enter the event title

Enter the date and time
Tip! If your event is recurring, you only need to enter the date for the first instance

If your event is across multiple days, you can choose to "Show on all days" by checking the box

If your event is recurring (i.e weekly/monthly meetings etc.) tick the "Repeat" checkbox and use the drop-downs to indicate the number of instances If your event is a one-off, leave this box unchecked

Enter a "Tagline / short description"

Enter the event "Location"

Optional: You can choose to enter a link to an external URL in this box, this will redirect people who click on the event to the external page

Optional: You can enter "Online meeting URL", if this is a digital event

Optional: You can check the relevant event type checkboxes
Alert! If you click "Club Listing Only" this event will appear only on your club page, and not in the "What's On" list

Optional: To add an image you can "Select Image", otherwise the image will default to your club logo file

Optional: You can use the "View permission" to determine who can see this event

Optional: You can use the "Display dates" to determine when this event will be publicly visable

Enter the full event details in the "Full description" box

Use the tools to format the text if needed

Click "Save"

Click "Back to event list", to navigate back
Tip! The event list defaults to a one-month period, so if you can't immediately see your event, expand the date range and click "Find events"

Click on the event title to open and edit as needed
Tip! In the case of recurring events, separate events will be ganerated for each occurance and these can only be edited separately

Click on your Club Name to navigate back

Click "Go to home page"

Click "Events"

You will see your events listed here, click on the arrow to see the details

Navigate to <https://ucsa.org.nz/whatson/> to see the What's On page
