How to Add and Manage Reviewers in NCA Chair Portal

This guide details the process of adding new reviewers, assigning them to specific review modules, and completing the review process within the NCA Chair Portal. Learn how to effectively manage your review team and ensure all submissions are properly evaluated.

Adding Reviewers to the Pool

To begin, navigate to the Planner/Chair Module using the following link: <https://www.xcdsystem.com/nca/chair/>

Select **Manage Review** in order to begin navigating to the Reviewer portion of the Planner/Chair Module

Select the **Review Module Dropdown** in order to select the proper module

- Click **Manage Reviewers** - To add someone new to your reviewer pool select **Add New Reviewer** - Select **Add Existing Contact** to search for a reviewer. Please search *Last name, First Name*

Complete the attached **reviewer signup form**.

Complete the attached **reviewer signup form** and **submit**.

How to Assign Reviewers

- Click **View Reviews** to select the correct submission you'd like to assign. - Find the correct submission and select **Assign Reviewer**

- Search for the reviewer by **Units Will Review For** - Select the reviewer you would like to add - Use the **+ button** to add them to the submission

How to Perform a Review

- Go to the [Reviewer Homepage](https://www.xcdsystem.com/nca/reviewmodule/review.cfm) - Select the module in which you will be reviewing submissions and click **Enter Review Portal** - You will see the listed assignments for you to review. Select a submission to begin

You are now reviewing a submission. The **submission will be on the left panel** and the **review criteria will be on the right panel.**

If you have personal reasons you cannot review a submission, please select **I abstain.**

Please read the introduction for a refresher of the **convention theme** before reviewing

- Please carefully **review and assess** the submission based on the review criteria. - **Rate** the submission 1-10 in relation to each question.

- Please select whether or not this session should be **co-sponsored** - Please give your **overall assessment** of the submission

- Provide feedback **to the Planner** regarding the submission you are reviewing - Provide feedback **to the Submitter** regrading the submission you are reviewing - **Submit** your reviewer feedback

To see your completed review: - Go back to the **Reviewer Homepage** - Go back into the correct **module** - The top banner will list the number of **completed submission reviews** - You can also see the **score** the submission received based on your review
