Logging into the Member Portal

Navigate to<https://uccbenefits.hroffice.com/>

Enter your numeric **Employee ID**

Your employee number must only contain numeric values.

Tip! You can find your Employee ID Number on your GreenShield card.

Enter your **Password**

If you have forgotten you password, please visit ["How to Reset your Password](https://scribehow.com/viewer/How_to_Reset_Your_Password__TV0ckxi1RH2EFejnFCA1tw)" for resetting instructions.

Click "Login"

Updating your Profile

Select "Financial Security & Retirement"

Click "Start" on "Update My Profile" tile

Contact Information

Select "Contact information" tab

Click on the **Residential phone number** field.

Type in your phone number, then click "Next"

Review and confirm your phone number is correct

Tip! Your email address can be added once the portal fully opens at a later date.

Read and accept the terms of the Certification by checking the "I agree" checkbox

Click "Confirm"

Click "Close" to complete your contact information

Pension Beneficiary Designation

Select "Financial Security & Retirement"

Click "Start" on the **Update My Profile** tile

Select the "Beneficiary designation" tab

Review the **Electronic consent**, then click "Continue" to accept the disclaimer

Click "Add a beneficiary"

**Please do not add your spouse as a designated beneficiary**. Spousal details should be entered in the **Spousal Information** section instead.

Select beneficiary type and click Next

Click on the **First Name** field, then enter your beneficiary's first name

Click on the **Last Name** field, then enter your beneficiary's last name

Click the drop down arrow under "Relationship to you"

Choose the relationship option that applies to your designated beneficiary

Select the revocability status you would like to assign your beneficiary

If you choose "Irrevocable", you can never change this beneficiary designation.

Click "Add"

The beneficiary you entered is now listed here. You can add more beneficiaries, if required, by clicking "Add a beneficiary"

Repeat[ Steps 18](https://scribehow.com/viewer/Updating_your_Profile__K9g9tNdiTLaFvuJDvARnXQ?scrollToActionId=ecebf6ad) to 25 to add another beneficiary.

Click the **Allocation** text field, then enter the percentage (%) amount you want to allocate to each beneficiary.

Tip! Total allocations must equal 100%.

Review your allocation percentage(s) to ensure it is correct and equals 100%, then click "Next"

Read and accept the terms of the Certification by checking the "I agree" checkbox

Click "Confirm"

Click "Close" to complete your pension beneficiary designations

Spousal Information

Select "Financial Security & Retirement"

Click "Start" on the **Update My Profile** tile

Click on the "Spousal information" tab

Review the **Eligible spouse definition**

Click on the **First name** field, then enter your spouse's first name

Click on the **Last name** field, then enter your spouse's last name

Click on the **Date of birth** field, then enter their birth date

Select your spouse's gender

Click on the drop down arrow of the **Marital Status** field to choose your marital status

Click on the marital status option that is relevant to you

Click "Next"

Review and confirm your spousal information is correct

Read and accept the terms of the Certification by checking the "I agree" checkbox

Click "Confirm"

Click "Close" to complete your spousal information

Communication Preferences

Select "Financial Security & Retirement"

Click "Start" on the **Update My Profile** tile

Click on the "Communication preferences" tab

Click on your preferred communication language

Click "Next"

Review and confirm your **language preference** is correct.

Read and accept the terms of the Certification by checking the "I agree" checkbox

Click "Confirm"

Click "Close" to complete your language preference
