**If you are a client applying online:** Navigate to <https://cm2gpct.neworg.com/v3?Pagenum=95> **Application Support Center Staff:** Please do not use the client portal! **For First Time Applicants** (You've never applied for Generation Power, formerly Operation Fuel): Click the "Apply for Water Assistance" button **For Returning Applicants** (You have applied for Generation Power, formerly Operation Fuel before) : Click the "View/Continue my applications" **PLEASE NOTE: Application Support Centers - you are applying on the clients behalf, all information entered should be the client's information.**

**Please follow the next step ONLY if you are applying with Generation Power (formerly Operation Fuel) FOR THE FIRST TIME, otherwise skip to step 4.**

**FOR FIRST TIME APPLICANTS ONLY:** You are going to create an account. Complete all required fields with the primary applicants information such as first name, last name, email address, and a password for future login. **PLEASE NOTE: An email address is *required* to apply. Communication regarding application status will only be sent via email. You will also need your email address for future logins.**

Tip: If you are redirected to a login page after clicking "Submit", it means that you are already in our system from previous years. Please click the "forgot password" button and enter your email address in lowercase letters to create a new password for this system. Then login using that information.

**Please follow the next step ONLY if you have applied for Generation Power (formerly Operation Fuel) in the past and already have an account with us. Otherwise, go back to step 3 and create an account.**

**FOR RETURNING APPLICANTS ONLY**: After logging in, click the green "Apply for Water Assistance" button.\ \ **Please Note:** If you've already started an application you will see a green "Continue" button to continue your application OR a red "Cancel" button to cancel and not continue your application. In this dashboard you will also see if/when you are eligible to apply, per our guidelines of one grant every 12 months.

**Complete all pre qualification fields.**\ Answer if you live in Connecticut question

Complete the "How many people in your household?" field.

Enter an estimate of what the household's annual income is in this field.

Choose the water provider. **PLEASE NOTE: Generation Power currently partners with CT Water and Aquarion. If neither of the two water vendors is listed on the drop down that means GPCT *does not* partner with that water vendor at this time. Please reach out to 2-1-1 for information on any other assistance programs that may be available in your area.**

Complete the "How many payments have you made in the last 12 months?" field.

Select if there is a past due balance or not.

Click "Submit"

Click "Click Here to Apply"

If, based on your answers, you are not eligible for GPCT programs at this time, you will receive an error message and will not be allowed to apply. Please reach out to 2-1-1 for information on any other assistance programs that may be available in your area.

Complete the "Service Address" field. (Primary applicants home address)

NOTE: Some of the fields may already be filled out if you have applied with Generation Power in the past. **Please review and update all information!**

Complete the "Cell Phone" field.

Choose the primary applicants gender

Enter the primary applicant's "Date of Birth"

Select primary applicant's marital status

Select primary applicant's ethnicity

Select primary applicant's race

Select appropriate veteran status for primary applicant

Answer disability/medical question for primary applicant

Answer "what type of building do you live in?" If your building type is not listed. please type in your building type in the "other" box below

Select if service residency is rented or owned.

Select primary heating source for the home. ***NOTE*: This may differ from the assistance you are requesting.**

Enter all income received for **primary applicant**, including entering the dollar amount and the frequency. **Enter "0" in other "required" income fields that do not apply to primary applicant's income.** ***NOTE: Do not enter income for other household members at this step.***

Click "Update"

Select current service status **Please ensure you are accurately reporting your current service status**

Choose your water provider. **PLEASE NOTE: Generation Power currently partners with CT Water and Aquarion. If neither of the two water vendors is listed on the drop down that means GPCT *does not* partner with that water vendor at this time.**

Enter the "Account Number" for the water account you are requesting assistance for

Complete the "Account Holder First Name" field. (If account holder is different from primary applicant, account holder must be listed as a household member on application. You will add household members at a later step)

Enter any additional information you want Generation Power to know regarding this application in this field.

After carefully reading the authorization language, select "I agree".

Confirm the Authorization Date that is auto populated in this field (this should be the day you are submitting the application)

Click "Submit"

**To add household members**, click the green "Add Household Member" button. You will need to enter the household members information after this page. ALL household individuals (children included) need to be listed on the application. **Please Note: If you need to add more than one household member you will do so by saving and clicking the "Add Household Member" button again.**

If any household member receives SSI or CEAP assistance, please upload those documents under the appropriate tab. If you upload *either* of these 2 documents, the **household's income** will be considered verified and no further income is needed to submit the application.

**\*\**Note:* You will still need to provide a past due bill and payment history.\*\***

Select the "Choose files" button.

After choosing the income files you wish to upload, Click "Save"

You will receive the message "Your submission was received correctly." if your files were uploaded successfully.

Click "Close"

Click "Upload Payment History"

Select the "Choose files" button.

Click "Save"

You will receive the message "Your submission was received correctly." if your files were uploaded successfully.

Click "Close"

Select the "Upload Unpaid Bill" button. (Must upload a **past-due** bill here)

Select the "Choose files" button.

Once you choose your file, click "Save" button.

Click "Close"

**PLEASE NOTE: If you need to make any changes or remove any documents that you have already uploaded, you will click on the red "x" to delete the specific file.**

**If the household does not receive CEAP or SSI for categorical eligibility, individual income is required for each household member 21 years of age and older.** \ \ **Ex: Paystubs, Social Security, Disability, etc. will be uploaded here for each household individual here.**

Click blue "Upload Files" button

Click "Choose Files" to upload your files

After choosing the file you wish to upload from your computer, you will label the income document as the type of document it is. **Ex: Paystubs, Social Security, Disability, etc.**

If you wish to add a description or further details regarding the document you are uploading, you may do so here:

Click "Save"

Click "Close"

Once ALL required documents have been uploaded the "Submit Completed Application" button will be blue. You can go ahead and finalize and submit your application. NOTE: If the "Submit Completed Application" button is grey, this means you are missing a required field/document. Double check all required fields, which are indicated in red. Once a required field is completed, you will see it indicated in green.

Once your application is successfully submitted, you will be redirected to the applicant portal dashboard and see your application in "submitted" status. **Please Note: If you have a currently submitted or approved application on file, you will be unable to start a new application until 11 months after your application date.**
