Navigate to [https://cdec.colorado.gov/](https://cdec.colorado.gov/)

Click "family application"

Click "Submit an application"
Your email or phone number will be how you log in to your account. Make sure you don't have any typos.

Enter your name and select email or phone.

Enter and confirm your email or phone number and click "Sign up"
If you are experiencing homelessness, check the box under the address.

Fill in the address information and click "Next"
If you are applying for more than one child, click "Add another child"

Fill in your child's name and date of birth, then click "Done"

Click "Next"

Enter your household size and click "Next"
In order to be considered for additional hours, your income must be less than the indicated amount and proof of income will need to be uploaded

Select your income and click "Next"
To qualify for additional hours, you must meet one factor below \****in addition***\* to your household income being less than the previously indicated amount

Select which factors apply to your child and click "Next"

To see the estimated UPK hours your child will be eligible for, click "See why"

Click "Continue for eligible children"

Confirm your contact information, then click "Email" or "Text" to choose your preferred way to be reached.

Click "Next"

Select your relationship with the child and click "Next"
This information does not impact the matching process in anyway.

Select the child's race and Click "Next"

You can search for schools based on your address, or click "Search by name"to enter a specific school.
You can select up to 10 different program choices.

Click the the box next to the program to add the school to your list of choices

Click "Selected" to view your list of choices.

If the choices look correct, then click "Continue with selections".
The system will try to match you with schools based on the order they are ranked.

If you have multiple choices selected, you can rank them in the order of your preference.

If any of the conditions apply to your child, click the school that it applies to.

Click "Next"

If you are applying for additional hours, you will need to upload proof of income. Then click "Next"

Type or draw your full name and click "Adopt signature"
If you do not click "confirm and submit" your application will NOT be considered. Make sure you fully submit the application.

Click "Confirm and submit" to complete and submit your UPK application.
