How to Apply for a VECCS Award, Grant, or Scholarship

This guide will take you step-by-step through the process of submitting an application to any award, scholarship, or submission through our platform, Awards Force.

Navigate to <https://veccs.org/>

Hover your mouse over "Membership"

Click "Grants – Scholarships – Awards"

Click on the category you're applying for and click on the side arrow to expand.

Click "APPLY NOW" on the drop down of the grant, award, or scholarship you are applying for.

Please read the description to ensure you meet the qualifications for this particular application. If you meet all criteria, click "APPLY NOW". If you are not seeing the option to "APPLY NOW", the grant, award, or scholarship is closed. The button will reappear when the application window reopens.

Enter your password

Click "Log in"

When you first log in to the platform, you'll see the home page. To get started on an application, click on "enter"

Once you have clicked on enter, click on "Start entry"

Click this dropdown to find the program

The program will be "Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (VECCS)" for all awards, grants, and scholarships that are not IVECCS specific

Click this dropdown and find the category you are applying for

If your category has a sub section, you may see step 13 on your page. If not, move on to step 14!

Click this dropdown.

Click the "Entry name" field.

The entry name should be the name of the grant/award/scholarship you are applying for and your name (or the name of the person you are submitting for)

Click "Save + next"

You do not have to complete your application all at once! You can always come back to the application at a later time. Click on save and close to finish the application later or you can click submit entry.

When all the information on the application is completed, click on "submit entry"

All applicants are required to consent to the VECCS Privacy Policy and the VECCS Media Release. You can refer to the hyper links to find those documents to review. Once they have been reviewed, check off both boxes and click "submit entry"

You will be redirected to the "payment" page. Although almost all applications are free to submit, you will still need to hit the "process for free" button.

Once you're done, you can either hit the home button to start another entry or you can log out.

You should receive an email right after you submit confirming your "purchase" and submission. If you do not see that email, you can email nat@veccs.org or call our office at 210-698-5575 to verify

You've submitted your VECCS application! You should hear back about your application after the application date closes and all judging is final. If you have any other questions, please contact us.
