Blocking rooms is useful for maintenance, renovations, or reserving rooms for specific purposes.
1
Click on the day and room you want to block, similar to entering a reservation.
2
Set the arrival date as the first day of the block.
3
Set the departure date as the last day of the block.
4
To block the room for maintenance purposes for example, select the 'blocked' status in the dropdown.
5
To block the room for provisional bookings for example, please select 'provisional' in the status dropdown menu.
6
To add more rooms, click "Add more rooms" and select the desired rooms.
7
To select the rooms, tick the boxes here. Make sure to press the **green button** 'Add selected rooms' to save.
8
In the guest details, you can add for example the company name for a provisional booking or type the reason for blocking in the one of the name fields.
By using Raccoon ID Scanner, you will overwrite any information you have added into the guest details. The ID Scanner will replace the information. To avoid this, use **either** the ID Scanner or manually input the information, do not use both.
9
Once you are happy with the details, please click save. Scroll back to the calendar to check your work.
Remember to unblock rooms once they are available for booking again to avoid potential revenue loss. Unblock rooms by changing the status to "cancelled".
