How to Complete FY Housing Application at WFU

Navigate to [go.wfu.edu/HousingPortal](https://wfu.starrezhousing.com/StarRezPortalX/DCBC5C5B/3/3/Home-Home?UrlToken=95EFB967)

You will use the WFU Single Sign-on to log into your account. We highly recommend that you have already signed into your WFU gmail account on your browser. If you have not, the sign-on will direct you to sign into your WFU gmail account.

Once in your Housing Portal, you will click "Housing"

Next you will click "Academic Year Housing"

Click "Save & Continue"

You will then click "Continue"

You will then see the "Information Update" page. NOTE: If any of the information you see on this page is incorrect, you must update it in Workday.

When you scroll to the bottom of the "Information Update" page, it will ask you to list your t-shirt size. All incoming students will receive a t-shirt upon their arrival.

Then click "Save & Continue"

The next page is "Information Privacy" If you would like staff members of Residence Life and Housing to discuss housing information (including, but not limited to, your housing assignments, your financial records, and your disciplinary records) with your parents or anyone else you might choose, complete the form on this page (also known as FERPA form).

Here is where you will determine if you wish to release any information and the names of who you would like to release the information to. If you select "No", then you would keep the "Release information to" sections blank.

Once done, you will "Save & Continue"

Wake Forest University views living on campus as integral to a liberal arts education and the Wake Forest experience. Wake Forest has a six-semester residency requirement and is committed to providing eight semesters of on-campus housing for residential students in good standing. This page will review the Residency Requirement.

There is a section that will share about what qualifies as an exception to the residency requirement. If you meet the criteria and would like to request an exception, follow the link on this section of the Housing Portal.

As you scroll down, this page will also share details about "Disability-Related Accommodations"

For the Fall term, incoming students should provide complete documentation for consideration by July 1st.

If you have a documented disability and used accommodations in high school, be sure to complete the housing and dining accommodations request form. Some students want to try college without those accommodations and later discover they wished they’d had the accommodation from the beginning. In addition, our ability to meet a student’s needs is much more limited after housing assignments have been made, so **we strongly encourage students to request accommodations by the July 1 deadline.**

If you would like to submit an accommodation request, then you will follow the link on the Housing Portal to do so.

If you are done with completing any of the forms on this page or the information does not apply to you, you will scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Save & Continue"

The next page will then share details about "All-Gender Housing". Please be sure to read these details carefully.

When you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will then click one of two options.

Note, if you say "Yes" to being interested in All-Gender Housing for Incoming Students, you will be directed to a page with additional questions. For incoming students requesting All-Gender Housing please expect outreach from a member of the RL&H staff to discuss your interest and confirm your understanding of All-Gender Housing. We will contact you via the method input above.

Click "Save & Continue"

This page will then confirm your selection. Click "Save & Continue"

The next page will be the "Incoming Student Roommate Matching Questions" Please take time to think about how you want to answer these questions. Think less about how you lived in the last couple of years as a high school student and instead how you might live as a college student.

There is a section that shares details about how if you have a severe allergy and need specific accommodations, please be sure that you follow our Disability-Related Accommodation process to help us best meet your needs.

Next you will go through your Personal Habits & Expectations.

The last section on this page is about your "Room Type Preference". This section is where you indicate if you would prefer to live in a single-space. However, please note that close to 95% of our first-year students live in double rooms.

Select your room capacity preference and the click "Save & Continue"

If you are over 18, you will be directed to the 2025-2026 Housing Agreement (18+) page.

If you are under 18, you will be directed to the 2025-2026 Housing Agreement (Under 18) page.

Be sure to review the Housing and Dining Agreements fully.

If you are under 18, please be sure to review "Addendum: Minor Residents in University Housing"

Both "Over 18" and "Under 18" applications will require you to enter your Student ID number to affirm that you have read the Housing and Dining Agreements and you agree to them.

If you are under 18, you must add your Parent/Guardian so they can sign the agreements on your behalf.

Click "Save & Continue"

This page will review "GradGuard" which is a form of renter's insurance.

Click "Continue to Next Step"

This will take you to an external page to review if you would like to purchase GradGuard or decline the renters insurance.

You will decide if you want to purchase or decline coverage.

If you decline coverage, it will ask you to select from the following options

Click "Continue" and that will take you back to the Housing Portal.

This page will confirm your decision.

Click "Save & Continue"

This section will share more about Storage Scholars

You can decide to sign up for the services or just continue with your application

You have now completed your Housing Application. You will also get an email stating that the application has been submitted.

Please be sure to submit your photo to Deacon One as this will be used to create your Student ID that you will receive on move-in day.

Mark your calendar for Move-In Day!

As you scroll down, it will show you the selections you made in your application.

If you would like to make any changes to your selections, you will follow the "CLICK HERE" button. **Please note that after July 1, you will not be able to make any further changes.**

You will see that you've been assigned the Base Meal Plan and can learn more about meal plans at <https://dining.wfu.edu/home/meal-plans/>. **To make changes please click the link and follow the steps in that process.**

Once you are done, you can click "Save & Continue"
