How to Add CBT Exercise in the E-class

Log into your Admin Portal

Click "e-Class"

Click "Virtual Classroom"

Select Subject you wish to set exercise for.

Click "Add" and select the type of exercise you want to add from the dropdown menu

The class, class arm and Exercise type are already pre-filled for you. Adjust if necessary.\ \ Provide a title for the exercise.

Select the Mode for the Exercise (we'll choose CBT in this case)

Select Supervising Staff

Optionally, select the date for the Exercise

Optionally, provide a duration (in minutes) for the exercise

Optionally, set the starting time and the system will automatically set the stopping time for the exercise based on the duration you have set.

You can choose to Notify Students in Class Discussion Room about the exercise or un-tick it if you don't want to.
Adding questions to the CBT exercise.

Click "Proceed to Add Questions"

Select the Questions tab if its not selected.

Click "Add Questions"

Select the desired questions for the Exercise (from the question bank).\ \ Alternatively, you can also create new questions on-the-fly by clicking the "Add New Question" button at the top right of the page.

Click "Done" when you are done selecting/adding questions.
How to Set Rules & Instructions for CBT Exercise

Click on the "Rules & Instructions" Tab"

Optionally, select a pre-start instruction set if you have any instructions already saved. If not, click "Add New" to add new instruction.

Set the Online Mode status for the Exercise: - Enabled (Allow this CBT to be Taken Online from Anywhere \ or - Disabled (Should be Taken Only at School CBT Center)

Enable or Disable Questions Shuffle Mode.

Enable or Disable Options Shuffle Mode.

Select the number of attempt allowed

You can fill out every other required fields as you may want to. E.g.: - If you want to pardon students from navigating away from the Exam screen you can select how many times that is pardonable, - Enable or disable candidates from seeing their score or exam summary after submission, - Enable or disable candidates from seeing the correct answers after submission, etc.

Set the Marking Scheme Total Score if need be, if not skip.

Click "Save Rules" to save.
Opening the CBT Exercise for Students to Access

Click the "Play icon" to start the exercise and open it up for students to access and partake in

Click "Yes. Switch!" and the exam will be opened for students to access.
Pausing an Ongoing CBT Exercise

Click on the Pause Icon

Click "Yes. Switch!" and the ongoing exam will be paused.
Stopping the CBT Exercise

Click on the Stop Icon

Click "Yes. Switch!" and the exam will come to an end.
