How to Create a Chapter Event in PFLAG

Make your chapter events more visible by adding them to the Member Portal! When you list your events, you help grow our PFLAG community by ensuring your support meetings, workshops, and community activities reach more people who need them. Your events will automatically appear when people search for local chapters on pflag.org/find, and if you're hosting virtually, your events will also be featured on our Virtual Events page.

Salesforce Site.com

Navigate to the Member Portal.

Click "My Chapter"

Click "My Chapter" in the drop down menu.

Click your chapter's name.

Click "Events"

To create a new event, click "Create Chapter Event"

Enter the event's name.

Click the "Date" fields and enter in the start/end date.

Click the "Time" fields and enter the start/end times.

Choose the Event/Meeting type. You can choose more than one option. If you're meeting is virtual, please choose the Virtual option. All virtual meetings will also be crosslisted on our Virtual Meetings page!

Enter in a meeting description.

If registration is required or you are hosting your meeting virtually, enter information to the "Registration Instructions" field.

If registration is required or you are hosting your meeting virtually, enter information to the "Registration Link" field.

Select the time zone for the event.

Enter a Location name if you'd like this information to be public. This is not required if you have safety concerns. Be sure to include information on how folks will contact you to receive location details in the "Event Description" box.

Enter the event location to the "Address" field. This is not required.

Enter the main point of contact's name. This can be someone on your board.

Enter the Event Contact's email. This can be your general chapter email.

If you have a phone number for folks to contact you at, consider adding it here. This is not required.

Click "Submit" once finished.

Click "Finish" and refresh your page to see the new event.

To clone an existing event for ease of adding new one's, click "Events" first.

Click the event you'd like to clone.

Click "Clone"

Enter in the new event info. It will automatically have the info from the original event you are cloning so please be sure to update the date/time.

Click "Save" once complete.
