How to Create a New Assignment in Moodle

Navigate to your[Moodle course](https://moodle.adelphi.edu/).

Turn on your "Edit mode" on the top right of your screen

Click "Add an activity or resource"

Click "Assignment"

Provide the name for the assignment that will appear on the course page

Type any instructions for your students in the Description box (not required)

Provide any Additional Files (templates, rubrics,...) here

Set the assignments Availability

Check off what Submission types this assignment should accept. Online text will allow students type directly into Moodle

Check the Grades settings to ensure the assignment is out of the correct number of points

Click "Save and return to course"

Click "Continue"
