How to: Create a New Label in Cryptio

To effectively set up labels, understand the sources of various transactions. Identify the flow of funds (FoF) between wallets, contacts, methods, and favorite filters. This ensures accurate tracking and categorization of financial activities.

Cryptio

Wallet or Contact

Navigate to <https://app.cryptio.co/labels>and click "+ Label" to begin creating your label rule.

The label rules will default to creating a label from/to a selected wallet or contact.

This rule allows you to create a rule from the perspective of wallets or identified contacts. If you dont select a wallet to specify in the "From" section but select a specific contact, Cryptio will apply the label rule to all wallets in the workspace that interacted with that contact. \ \ Additionally, if you identify a wallet without choosing a contact, it will label all respective transactions From/To those selected wallets.\ \ Click "Create" to finalize the label and the system will begin auto application to all transactions that meet the rule criteria.

Click here.

Click "Label"

Follow the initial steps to begin creating a label. This time, click the drop down arrow to change to "Function ID" label rules.

Click "Function ID"

Provide the name of this label to match the accuracy of the transaction type.

Select the respective Function ID to auto recognize transactions that share the respective method.

Click "Create"

Favorite Filters

Using favorite filters is the most granular method for capturing transaction activity. On the transactions page click "Filter" to begin identifying your flow of funds.

Click "Add filter"

After creating a filtered view with multiple filter values. You can save this filter for future use by clicking "Favorite"

Provide a name for your new favorite filter and click "Save"

Next, navigate back to the labels section.

Click "Label"

Click "Favorite Filter"

Select the favorite filter that you just created.

Name the label and click "Create" to finish setup.

Tip! It is recommended to name your favorite filters and labels descriptively to match the respective chart of accounts mapping. This will make it easier to understand what accounts a filter will impact.
