How to Create and Edit the Welcome Message

Welcome Messages can be used for providing guidance, sharing information or expectations, promoting certain activities or celebrations or just as a warm greeting. Users will see the Welcome Message once they choose the "Sign-In" button on the Kiosk.

Click "Settings" & "Welcome Message"

You can arrange your Welcome Message in whichever order you'd like it to be, but the dashboard will default with having a header text, an image and a button. You can adjust text by changing it's size, style and alignment.

If you want to upload an image to appear, click the folder icon. The dashboard will accept png, jpg, jpeg, webp or svg file types. You can also use the slider to adjust the size of the image. The preview on the right of the screen should replicate how your message will appear on the kiosk.

The "Button" field allows you to change the text that appears on the button that kiosk users press to move forward to the next page. "Continue" is the most commonly used text, but you can have it say whatever you'd like.

You can include an additional image, text field or import your community logo by clicking one of those options. Having multiple text fields allows you to have a variety of different font sizes and styles presented. For example, you may have a text field to use as a header with large, bold font and then a separate text field for the body of the message with smaller, normal font.

You can click & drag the three lines next to a field to move the order around. We recommend the order of a text field (being used as a header), an image (like your community logo) and then another text field (the body of the welcome message) or you could go a simplified route and just do an image (like your community logo) and then a text field (the body of the welcome message)

If you add a field that you no longer want, you can click the trashcan icon to delete it.

If you click the "Add Community Logo" button....

It will add in whichever logo you have uploaded in our system already. Again, you can adjust the width and see a preview on the right. If you want your welcome message to appear in different languages, you can add a Spanish and French version. This version of the welcome message will appear if the user has changed the language settings on the kiosk to reflect either Spanish or French. Remember to click "Save" once you're done adding in your welcome message. Again, if you'd like to update your community logo, you can do so by clicking "Settings" and then "Community Logo"

To pull through any change to the welcome message, you'll need to restart your kiosk. You can do that by quickly tapping the Accushield logo at the bottom right of the kiosk home screen 5 times in a row. On the next page, click "Restart App"

The "Welcome Message" will appear on the Kiosk after someone initiates the sign-in process. We recommend using this field to share information and policies, guidelines, events, announcements or your mission statement. You can also use it as a venue for reinforcing the reason and importance behind the kiosk sign-in.
