How to Duplicate a Player Registration Program in GotSport

Learn how to efficiently create a new registration season by copying an existing program. This guide walks you through updating program details, setting dates, and configuring accounting codes to ensure your new session is ready for enrollment.

Navigation

Navigate to your club Dashboard.

Select Programs from the sidebar or the button shown on the Dashboard.

Locate your current season registration Program from the list and click the 'Copy Program' button for the relevant registration.

Program Configuration

Title your new Registration Program.

Tip! We typically suggest naming your Program something along the lines of '26/27 MYSA Player Registration'.\ This really helps out when building out your rosters for the new season. You can use the settings in Roster Builder to ONLY show players who have completed your Program.

Select start and end dates for your new Program.

**Alert! These next 2 settings are the MOST CRUCIAL to ensuring your registration is set correctly!**

Select '26/27' as the New Program Seasonal Year

Select 'School Year (Aug-1 to Jul-31)' for the Age Method

Double / Triple Check that the correct Season and School Year options were selected. Without these, your new registration could get all kinds of wonky!

Payment Plans

Rename OR Copy the name of your existing Payment Plans.

This will also copy whatever fee value you have set for your Payment Plan. If your fees have changed going into the next season, you can edit those in the next few steps. If your Payment Plans are set to collect the $0 fee (you know, the annoying one), this saves you from having to recreate that.

Click Save to confirm the program copy

Verification

The Programs list will default to the current Seasonal Year. Use the filters to search for Seasonal Year '26/27' to verify your new Program's creation.

Click the newly created program name to open it.

From here, you can continue customizing your Program meet your club's needs!
