How to: Follow and Purchase the Level 1 and 2 Coaching Pathway

This pathway follows on from the Introductory Coach Pathway, please note if all your verification documents are uploaded to the system then you will not need to upload them again and you will be able to continue to Level 1 Coach qualification and then Level 2 Coach qualification.

Equestrian

The Prerequisite for Level 1 Coach is you must have obtained your Level 1 Riding and Horse Management Certificates. Riding can be either General, Show Horse or Dressage specific.

The Prerequisite for Level 2 Coach is you must have obtained your Level 2 Riding and Horse Management Certificates. Riding can be either General, Eventing, Jumping, Dressage or Show Horse (in Development and will be available shortly)

Driving and Vaulting have their own pathway, please see separate Guides.

Navigate to your EA Profile and click on Coaching Pathways

Click "Coach Pathways"

Make sure you read the prerequisites required otherwise you will not be ale to proceed.

Click the discipline option that you require, in this case we have selected "General Coach"

Before you can proceed to a Level 1 Coach you will need to have all your documents in place and they must be current and Active as per the below. The example is the WWC follow the prompts to upload your documents.

Sport Integrity Australia - Annual Update

Sport Integrity Australia Safeguarding Children and Young People.

Australian Sports Commission Community Coaching Essential Skills.

Sport Integrity Anti-Doping Fundamentals, this must be the 2021 version, otherwise it will not be accepted.

EA Concussion Certificate, this must be the 2023 version and can be found by clicking the link below.

Below are examples of a Pending Approval and an Active/Approved field, the fields must show green to proceed.

Finally if you are already an Introductory Coach you will have all these documents in place and you will have a current Coach Membership, if not click the link to purchase a coach membership below.

Click "Order the Level 1 Coaching - General workbooks" and follow the prompts for ordering and paying for our resources.

Then follow the prompts to order your resources and make payment, once purchased you will receive email notification and confirmation. The resources can then be found on your profile under Credentials for you to access.

Click the "+" sign to add the number of resources you require.

Click "Proceed to checkout" or you can add more resources to purchase

If this appears it means you are missing prerequisite

This warning box will appear, you can click Learn More to see what credentials you are missing.

Once on the payment page Click "Pay with Card"

Enter your card details and click "Pay"

If your payment has been successful you will receive the below message

Click "Download a PDF Receipt" if you need a receipt for your records.

Click "My Profile" to find your resources

Click "PROFILE"

Click "Credentials"

Your resources will be sitting in your profile under Credentials, you can filter these by using the drop down arrows on the right hand side.

If you click on the credential that you want it will have your newly purchased resources there. You can also find your certificates and documents in this section.

To continue your Coaching Journey continue to follow the Steps 1- 4.

Click "Start your search here Coach Search page" to find a Coach Educator

Click "Upload" to add your Assessment Checklists when they have been completed. They will sit as Pending until they have been checked and approved by the EA Coaching Team.

Follow the prompts to upload your assessment checklist, you will need to add in your Coach Educator name and EA number, you will also need to upload your Assessment Checklist. Please remember to click SAVE in the top right hand corner.

The below are examples of how the Pending and Active Assessment fields look, once approved they will turn green.

Click "Claim" to access your certificate, once your Assessment Checklist has been approved it will show as "Active" as above.

Select the "Yes" option if you would like to become a Skills Specific Training Assessor, If you click No it just takes you to the Level 2 Coach Pathway. In this instance we have clicked "Yes".

Select the "No" option takes you direct to Level 2 Coach Pathway

To become an SSTA you will need to have been a Level 1 Coach for 3 years or a Level 2 Coach for 2 years. If these requirements have been met then the link will take you to the next available course. Please ignore the button that asks if you have completed the course in the past as this is not applicable at this stage.

Once you have attended the course then you can upload your SSTA course Assessment checklist, by clicking "Upload"

Once this has been approved Click "Claim" to access your Certificate

Below are the steps for Level 1 showing the discipline specific options.

Click "Dressage"

The Dressage Pathway for Level 1 Coach Certificate will show.

The Show Horse Pathway for Level 1 Coach Certificate will show.

Follow these pathways in the same way that you followed the General Coach Pathway, using the steps 1-4 to complete the process.

Repeat the process for Level 2 Coaching Pathway choosing discipline specific routes through.

Follow Level 2 General Coach - Steps 1-5 there is an additional step for the theory test for Level 2.

Click "Dressage"

Follow Level 2 Dressage Coach - Steps 1-5 there is an additional step for the theory test for Level 2.

Click "Jumping"

Follow Level 2 Jumping Coach - Steps 1-5 there is an additional step for the theory test for Level 2.

Click "Eventing"

Follow Level 2 Eventing Coach - Steps 1-5 there is an additional step for the theory test for Level 2.

The next step to Level 3 Coach is by invitation only and expressions of interest need to be emailed to **coaching@equestrian.org.au.**
