Grading Template Creation and Entering Grades

Creating a Grade Template

Go into curriculum manager, hover over grading and click "grade type"

Select numeric grade type, enter the minimum as 0, maximum as 100 and your pass threshold. So if students pass the course with a 70 or higher, your pass threshold is 70.

After saving, hover over grading and click grading template

Choose any of the different options. If the course is connected to canvas and you want the grade to automatically be imported over, ensure you choose the two boxed options below.

Be sure to also select the grade type you just created and click the + button. Also select the program office and costing unit this applies to and click the + button. Lastly save.

Next go inside the section you want to add the grading sheet to. Once in the section, hover over courses and click grading sheet

Click "Modify Grading Template"

Select the grading template you just created and click go

Click "Save"

Manually Adding Grades

You can either add grades in the student profile under "rapid grade entry" or in the section grading sheet. In this example, we will be in the section grading sheet since it shows all students in that course. Manual grade entry is typically for in person courses as canvas courses if set up right with automatically pull grades into Destiny One.

Enter the section, hover over courses and click on "grading sheet". Scroll down until you see student names.

Enter the grade, completion date and checking the instructor, program and final approval boxes.
