How to Navigate Banner (Student)

Microsoft Login

Access Banner by going to <https://my.alfred.edu/> , selecting "Quick Links" and then "BannerWeb".

Click "Sign In"

Enter AU email credentials and continue.

Click "Student Self-Service"

View Student Services main page with the following quick links: 1. Student Profile 2. Account Summary 3. Account Detail for Term 4. Tax Notification (1098-T) 5. Account Information 6. Statement and Payment History 7. Payment and Direct Processing 8. Financial Aid Click the 4-square menu for additional navigation options.

Click "Banner"

This menu in Banner will show the following categories: 1. **Personal Information**: Review addresses, maintain emergency contact information, review policies regarding name or social security number changes, and change your PIN and security question. 2. **Student Services**: Review your academic information, register for classes, sign up for housing, view your student account and log in to the CASHNet eCommerce System. 3. **Employee** (if currently employed on campus):Review current benefits and deductions, review paystubs, review current tax information, and obtain a benefits statement. 4. **Financial Aid**: Apply for Financial Aid; View financial aid status and eligibility, accept award offers, and view loan applications. 5. **Banner 9 Help**: web page with tutorials on navigating the new Banner 9 interface.

Within the "Personal Information" category, view options to: 1. **Change your PIN** 2. **View Contact Information** 3. **Emergency Alert Contact Information - Rave Alert** 4. **Update Personal Information**

Within the "Student Services" category, view options for: 1. **Registration** 2. **Student Records** 3. **Residential Life** 4. **CASHNet Billing and Payment Site** 5. **My Student Checklist**

Within the "Employee" category, view options for: 1. **Employee Home** 2. **Benefits and Deductions** 3. **Pay Information** 4. **Tax Forms** 5. **Electronic Personnel Action Forms**

Within the "Financial Aid" category, view options for: 1. **Financial Aid Dashboard** 2. **E-Mail University Financial Aid Office** 3. **Financial Aid Application and Information Links** 4. **NYS Award Information Sheet** 5. **Financial Aid at Alfred University**

View Student Profile

To view your student profile, click "Student Services".

Click "Student Records"

Click "Student Profile"

On the Student Profile page in the new Banner Interface, the menu below the profile picture holds several options including: 1. **Curriculum and Courses** 2. **Prior Education and Testing** 3. **Additional Links** (Academic Transcript, Registration, Student Schedule, View Application to Graduate, Registration and Planning, View Grades, Degree Works) a. **Degree Works** – Run degree audits to verify your classes meet degree requirements for graduation. Click the 4-square menu in the top left for further options.
