How to Process a Refund in Clover for Prepaid Payments

This guide provides a straightforward process for processing a refund in Clover, for payments made via the dashboard. By following the steps outlined, users can quickly locate the necessary transaction details and execute a refund.

Login to your business dashboard and find the transaction to be refunded. Click the receipt button as shown, for more details

On your receipt, take note of the Clover Charge ID, located at the bottom

Navigate to [https://www.clover.com](https://www.clover.com/dashboard?startTimestamp=1758596400000&endTimestamp=1761188399000) and login to your dashboard

In your side bar, navigate to "Sales Activity" > "Transactions"

On your transactions page, stay in the "Payments" tab, and search for the Clover Charge ID from your receipt

Scroll to the bottom to find the corresponding transaction, and select "Details" as shown

You will now be shown the payment details and card information for this transaction

Scroll to the bottom of the page, and select the "Refund" button

Select the "prepaid" option, and confirm the amount to be refunded is correct

Complete process by pressing "Refund". The amount will process back to the customers account within 3-5 business days
