How to Propose a New Course in Curriculum Manager

This is a guide for basic course set up. It shows you what is required in Destiny One for your course to be available for registrations. There are other features you can view while making a course that you can explore but the main purpose of this guide is showing the bare minimum for getting your course ready to take registrations. Moderncampus

Navigate to "Curriculum Manager"

Click "Propose New Course"

Click the "Custom Course ID:" field and type in whatever you want your course ID to be.

Click the "Course Title:" field. Type in your course title.

Select your Program Office which was given to you when you were onboarded.

Select your Costing Unit which was given to you when you were onboarded.

Click the "Maximum Number of Course Hours:" field and insert the number of course hours.

If you course is not being offered for CEUs uncheck the CEU box.

Insert a course description in the "Course Description (Public)" field

Next select a Program Area/Stream. This will be the same name as your costing unit. Note if your area is under a college click the + button to expand your options.

Click "Save"

Now your course is in "initiated" but it needs to be in "final approval" in order for the course to be available for registrations. Scroll to the top and click "Bypass Approval"

Scroll back down and click "Save". After clicking save your course will be in final approval. You are not done yet. Please view the section guide on how to create course sections and connect to canvas if applicable.
