How to: Purchase a Membership

**Log in to your account**\ To purchase a membership, you must first sign up to the **EA Platform**. *Don’t know how?* See the guide [**How to: Sign up for an Equestrian Account**.](https://scribehow.com/viewer/How_to_Sign_Up_for_an_Equestrian_Australia_Account__RaKBxX4hSUKPZNg2s5iDFw)

**Select your State**\ Under **State Membership**, choose your **State**. For this example, the State selected is **New South Wales**.

**Choose your membership type**\ Each State offers different **membership types and benefits**. Scroll through the options to select the membership that best suits you. *Not sure which membership is right for you?* Contact your **State Branch** for guidance in choosing the correct option.

**Complete membership details**\ After selecting the right membership, you will be prompted to provide additional details. This includes: - Completing a **declaration** acknowledging the terms and conditions of the membership - Selecting your **primary discipline** (used for voting purposes) - Agreeing to a **Release and Waiver of Liability**

**Submit your membership**\ After completing all required information, click **Finish** to submit your membership application.

**Proceed to payment**\ After submitting your membership application, you will be prompted to go to your **cart** to complete payment for your membership.

**Review your cart**\ When taken to the cart, you will see a **price breakdown** of your State and EA membership. **Make a payment**\ Select **Card** to make the payment. *Important:* Your membership will not be active until payment has been completed.

**Enter payment details**\ Fill in your **card details** and select **Pay** at the bottom of the screen to complete your purchase. You will be offered the option to **download a payment confirmation**. Otherwise, you will receive a **payment confirmation email**. ***Note:*** *If you don’t see the email, check your **junk** or **spam** folder.*
