How to Put Text Over an Image in Google Slides

Google Slides

Open your Google Slides presentation or create one.

Click the slide where you need to have the text over the image. In this case, I already have the text in a text box.

Click the "Insert" tab on the menu bar at the top.

Click or hover over “Image”

Click here to use stock media.

Click on any image you like.

Click here to close the Stock images panel.

Resize and reposition the image on the slide according to your needs.

Now you have both the text and the image. It’s time to overlap them.

Click and drag your text box to wherever suits your needs.

Here, the text box is placed where I need it. The only problem is, it’s underneath the image.

Right-click on the image.

Click “Order”

Click “Send to back”

Now the text is over the image.

Resize and reposition the text however you need it.
