How to Record a Credit Card Payment

Navigate to Brokerage Engine.
Record Payment

Click "Accounting"

Click "Quick Actions"

Click "New Expense"

Select the Payee from the dropdown menu or start typing a name to add a new Vendor.

Choose the account from which to transfer the money.

The Balance will auto-populate.

Click this date field to record the date of the payment.

Select the Payment Method from the dropdown menu.

Click this text field to add a Reference Number.

Select the account from the dropdown menu to send the transaction to.

Click the text field to add a Description.

Click this text field to add the Payment Amount.

Select a class from the dropdown menu.

Click "Save"

Click "OK"
Verify Payment

Click "Banking" to verify that the Payment posted in the Credit Card Account.

Click "Bank Register"

Select the Credit Card Account from the dropdown menu.

The Payment was recorded.
Find Match
If the Bank Account and Credit Card Account are connected to the Brokerage Engine Accounting platform under Banking, then the "Find Match" function could be utilized to match the payment using one entry.

Click "Banking"

Click "Banking" to display the connected Credit Card Account.

Locate the "Received" transaction matching the payment amount under the "For Review" tab.

From the dropdown menu, select "Find Match"

Select the corresponding transaction by clicking on the checkbox and then click on "Save"
