How to Request QMAC Super-User Instrument Access

This guide provides a straightforward process for booking a Metabolomics Core Instrument Access, ensuring users can efficiently access essential research tools. By following the steps outlined, researchers can easily navigate the scheduling system, select the appropriate instruments, and manage their requests.

Navigate to [https://ucsf.ilab.agilent.com/landing/22](https://ucsf.ilab.agilent.com/landing/22)

Click "Metabolomics Core"

Click “Initiate Request” under the Super-User Instrument Access Request section.

Click "type in the person’s first name then last name for whom you’d like to create a request"

Click "Proceed"

Fill in the required fields, then click “Add Event.”

Select "QTRAP 7500"

Select your desired time window for instrument use.

Click "Book"

Close the scheduling window.

Select the appropriate SpeedType to be used for billing your instrument usage.

Click "submit request to researcher"

Navigate to the Instrument Calendar to review your request.

Under your requested instrument, click “View Schedule.”

Review your request in the calendar view and make any necessary edits. You’ll receive a confirmation email from the Core once your request has been approved.
