How to Request an Honorarium

This guide provides a step-by-step overview of the process for completing an honorarium, including all necessary requirements and documentation in Workday

The honorarium recipient must be a supplier in Workday. Suppliers are required to self-register by following this [job aid](https://support.umd.edu/esc?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0017428).

An [honorarium letter](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LpZNqNDxaCilWKDDxZ4PjSDw-tx1_Huq/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=116489022703024341217&rtpof=true&sd=true)must be submitted in order to initiate the processing of an honorarium payment.

An honorarium letter must include the educator’s signature, the supplier’s signature, and the supplier’s address—ensuring it matches the address listed in Workday.

Once the supplier is in Workday and the required documentation is gathered, the Supplier Invoice Request can be completed in Workday.

Navigate to Workday and search "Maryland Procurement & AP". Select the "Landing Page" option.

Click "Request a Payment"

Click "Request a Non-PO or Non-Contract Related Invoice Payment"

Fill in all required fields as well as the following fields: Invoice Received Date, Supplier Invoice Number, Ship-To Address must be the local office address, Handling Code, and Memo.

Click the "Service Line" field.

Fill in the "Item Description" field.

Fill in the "Spend Category" field with SC00088.

Fill in the "Extended Amount" field.

Fill in the account information in the "Grant", "Gift", "Project", or "USource" field.

Click "Attachments"

Click "Select files" and upload the honorarium letter and invoice.

Click here "Submit"
