How to Respond to a Query on an Individual Work Permit (and Extensions)

This guide shows how to view, respond to and submit the query response for Work Permit Applications which have been queried.

On the dashboard, select the "Queried" bucket to view all applications which are queried.

Once open, you may filter the Reference No. column to show the most recent work permit first. This is done by clicking the arrows at the side of the column's name.

You may filter any column to show most recent applications first by simply clicking on the arrow

Click on the application reference number link to open the queried work permit application.

Viewing The Query Details

Once the application opens, select the "Application History" section to view the query details.

In the "Application History" section, select the "see more" hyperlink, in the "External Decision Remarks" column, to view the full details on the query made. The details will appear in a small white text box.

Responding To The Query

To upload the documents being queried, the applicant should upload the file/s within the "Additional Supporting Documentation" section. A new attachment slot can be used or the applicant can replace the old version of the file being queried, in the existing slot, with the newer version of the file. Alternatively, the same can be done in the "Supporting Documents" section.

Click "Additional Supporting Documentation" section of the queried work permit application.

The document / file name must be entered FIRST, in order to make the attachment slot available to upload the respective file.

To begin uploading your file/s, navigate to an available slot and type in a document name for the file.

Once the file name is entered, proceed to select the attachment slot to the right of the file name, in order to attach the correct document being requested as stated in the query details.

Once the file is attached and uploaded successfully, click "Save" at the bottom right of the section.

Repeat this step as needed until all documents being requested in the query details, are uploaded and saved successfully.

The file is uploaded successfully when the tick symbol shows up after attaching the file. A "Remove File" option to the right of the file will also appear. This option can be selected to delete the file if perhaps, the wrong file was selected.

Once all files are uploaded and saved, scroll to the bottom of the application and select "Complete Response" in order to save all changes.

The Processing Status of the work permit application will change to "Complete Resonse"

NOTE: Applications in "Complete Response" status DO NOT mean that the application was re-submitted. At this stage, the Work Permit Secretariat or other approving agency who queried the application, would not be able to process the application further unless it is re-submitted. See below steps to proceed with re-submission.

Submitting The Query Response

After selecting "Query Response" two (2) sections will appear at the bottom of the application - "Supporting Signed Documents" and "Terms and Conditions"

Click "Terms and Conditions" section and tick all conditions listed.

Click "Save & Submit" to re-submit the work permit application.

The Processing Status will change to "Query Responded". Ministry of Homeland Security can now view and process the application further.
